Surfers, skimboarders and bodyboarders charge Hurricane Hilary swell in Southern California. Raw footage all filmed on 8-21-23. Due to excessive rain storms most of the vid is filmed on iPhone. Amateur Broadcasting!

So many blatant drop ins. Just takes the joy out of it. I was surfing recently in Oregon and kept giving people turns. Eventually I realized I’ll never catch a wave unless I go aggro mode. Buddy and I went back to the beach, drank a bottle of wine (no idea why we had wine), went back in and went full blown ape mode out there. Ended up with a ton of waves and it was a blast. I felt like a d bag but I realized it’s the wild Wild West anymore. It sucks that it’s become this way but I think I need to learn to just go after it. Be aggressive. Don’t be friendly. It’s a selfish game after all… I have to dig into that part of myself and not care about others I guess! New generation of surfing… it is what it is!
