Great recipe! I find that when preparing the pumpkin it gets a little easier if you just halve the whole pumpkin, stick it on a baking sheet, and bake it on low heat for about an hour. The insides will be tender and lovely and just fall away from the peel, which will be papery and easy to remove

I love making these for Thanksgiving gatherings! I find that they are too big for one person though so I've just split the dough into 20 and baked less. Nothing like cutie little pumpkins on your plate.

Thank you. I have made this recipe a few times, with and without puree and I love them. I particularly love your accent, unfortunately I'm a stupid American, but u remind me of one of my favorite late actors: Robin Williams; when he doubled as Mrs Doubtfire... No insult is in this statement, you just have that beautiful voice and accent that makes me think I'm talking to someone very wise and humble. I love your recipes and I'm a huge fan of your channel.

Hi Titli, First of all, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! I made the rolls with the sourdough starter and they were phenomenal! Light, airy, and slightly sweet due to the Splenda that I added to the dough. Thanks very much!!

The sugar is there just to add a little bit of a sweet note to the rolls. I add it in with the yeast simply to get it dissolved. There are other recipes in which I don't add any sugar at all but I still like to wake the yeast up before I add it to the flour. On a more general note I use a dried yeast which is designated as being for hand-baking. Fast-action yeasts, like you might use in a bread maker, don't work so well for hand-baking.

Hi titli I love this recipe and I've got two questions if that's okay? If so 1) can you make this like a normal loaf of bread and if so does the baking time or temperature need to change ? 2) how long does this bread keep for ? Thanks caitlin :)
@TheBreadKitchen9 жыл бұрын
Caitlin McKeith Yes, you can use this dough to make a normal loaf. See details here: www.thebreadkitchen.com/recipes/pumpkin-bread-recipe/

These look adorable, and I bet they taste just as good. If there is any way I can substitute hand kneading with my bench mixer, I will be making a load of your beautiful recipes if its possible. I am afraid Mr Arthur Itis visited me a few years back, so kneading by hand is no longer an option.
@TheBreadKitchen10 жыл бұрын
Yes, just make the dough in a stand mixer with a dough hook. 5 minutes is usually sufficient.

@scientificexplorergirl337410 жыл бұрын
I was going to try this with my sourdough starter instead of yeast for our Thanksgiving Dinner. Do you think this would work?
@addiekatt10 жыл бұрын
Titli, do you ever use instant yeast? Just curious. If I were going to in this recipe.. I've been googling about substituting, but I wasnt sure about the sugar bit that you added to the yeast when activating it. Should I add in the sugar just to keep the flavoring the same I guess?

I meant can I live out the pumpkin cause I can take pumpkin but I love the idea of the pumpkin. Bread shape so can I just make the recipe without the pumpkin pls reply!:)
@TheBreadKitchen10 жыл бұрын
If you don't want to use pumpkin you need a different bread recipe. You should watch my latest video, released just today.
@TheBreadKitchen10 жыл бұрын
Yes but be careful of the total hydration of the dough. You may need to experiment a bit depending on the water content of your sourdough starter.

I made these today. And whilst eating, no one in my family considered low fat thoughts.
