Good tech to come yet, But by that time there will be ev every where, On road tax exemption i get from Tamil nadu will be removed , have to pay again atleast 1-2 lakh on road tax by end dec 2025, this will make the EV same price as now, 420 MIDC , if you drive ev like a EV and not like petrol car, maintain constant 60-70kph, it will easily cross 300 Km range, i have driven at 40-50 in city, its giving me 330 km range with L1 and L2 regen modes, MIDC is calcualted at 25-30kph constant speed, Realistic speed of 45-55 kph can drive inside a city gives 75-80 percent of promised range, ie. 330-350km. If you drive like petrol car and an agressive drive its gonna give you only 200-240 km at max for long range and 160-200 for MR Remeber by end of 2025 almost all EV road tax exemption will be removed by all states, Punch EV will revamped and sold for same price with better tech may be with better range and features, at current Price point you may not get 35KW battery for 13.6 Lakhs at all in any Mfg, it might take another 3-4 years for you to get 40Kw for 14 Lakhs , till then enjoy present tech. plus of punch its small and has bigger battery than nexon prime which weighs more. its a great car if you compromise a little bit of space and rear AC and v2v and V2c features, but we have been told V2c & V2v may come to punch ev with software, so that i can use punch as inverter for home and also charge other Ev vehicles with my punch ev. If you already own petrol car, continue using it until tech matures, but if you dont have any car, buying punch ev makes sense, EV will make you discliplined driver, will make you follow speed limits in bridge, highways, Remember our NH are not equipped to drive at 120+, but we see no one following the rules, EV with range fear for sure will make people drive below 80kph, Which is the permissible limit in highways for at least india, to upgrade to 120-14kph roads , it might take another decade. Because getting NH roads throughout india itself is biggest challenge. if you are in India Punch EV does make sense, Install a solar panel in roof and reduce the running costs with NH speed limit - 100 kph expressway at 120kph, doesnt mean you need to drive at max speed limit, you can maintain constant 60-70kph getter better range but if your desination is just 200 km away, then you may drive like other petrol cars, if you dont mind spending extra money for public charging. Tips : You can switch to eco mode inside bumper to bumper traffic, you dont need regen modes Remember our highways are not that great, even paid toll road has something crossing here and there, So you can always use L1 regen mode in highways and get some extra range. try to maintain constant speed of 60-70kph as much as possible, don't accelerate rapidly, use it gradually if your destination far away. may be in better environments like western ghats , you can make use of car Visors and turn off AC which consumes 2-3 percent battery every one hour. Real pro Trip : if you see you are almost under 15 percent of battery and if the charger is far away that estimated range , let say its showing range as 40km for 15 percent battery in eco mode, But if the charger is loacated at 60km away and you dont have any charging options left. just crawl at 25-30kph constantly , it will get you max 65km. also remember the higher the price of the EV car, the higher the capacity of battery, Kon EV has 50KW battery , so does MG, which means an extra 15KW compared to punch, but you only get 20-40 km extra range with that battery as both MG ZS ev and kona ev are bigger are weighs lot more than punch, If you want a economical car, which consumes nominal power 35 units of current and gives you atleast 300km range, then punch ev LR is for you. Budget options with range of every car under 15 Lakh MG comet - max 180 Km Tiago Ev - max 235 km range. Citroen ec3 - max 265 km range Tigor EV - max 235 km range. Nexon Ev prime MR - max 250 km range. Punch EV MR - 230 to 240 km range. Punch EV LR - 280 to 300 km range. at 60-70kph constant speeds the above is estiamated real range. Range estimated with passenger weight of 2 nos upto 150 kg in a flat terrain like chennai if in Ghat roads, then range may reduce

BYD as if now is damn expensive for india , even if they make smaller version with 40KWH battery, with taxes it gonna cross 19-20 lakhs same as Nexon Long range, One thing is sure, Chinese market is dominant across world, BYD is already dominating the space, but for them to provide 35KWH battery at around 13 lakh is not at all possible in india, Cos there is preferentail taxing for Indian MFG and foriegn MFG, might take another 3-4 years , Blade tech cools the battery and charges the battery rapdily and also gives better range, that bettter range is almost 5 to 10 percent only when compared to traditional Cylindrical LFP cells which Tata uses, Citroen uses Prismatic ones square shaped LFP, which requires more cooling, as there is no space between cells in battery pack, combined by this Citroen doesnt provide cooling tech for its battery, Punch EV at present has acti ev architecture, which has batterty assembled in the chasis same as BYD, Citroen and other foreign mfg, A 5-10 percent extra range, may not affect the indian mfg, Tata is playing in affordable category, players like xiaomi and huawei if they enter the indian market with affordable cars with massive range, then for sure Tata & Mahindra will face the heat.

Njan 2 month aayi punch ev LR use cheyyunnu, 6250kms odichu. Enikk 240km range kittunnullu. Lots of software bugs also. Never buy tata ev’s

Nexon LR il 260 to 270km kittunnundu 10% balance ullapol. Range is too less. Spent 21.6 Lalhs. Fit and finish swalpam downside anu, build super 5* undallo. Blind spot oru big issue anu A pillar. Riding comform 8/10. Range oru 320 arunnenkil super. 7?2 kw max 6hrs from 20 to 100 akan.

ഞാനും വാങ്ങി Punch Adv LR ഒരാഴ്ച ആയി . ശെരിയാണ് 250 പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചാൽ മതി. എനിക്ക് കൂടുതൽ ഓട്ടം ഇല്ല അതുകൊണ്ടു വലിയ പ്രശനം ഇല്ല. ചാർജിങ്‌ന് കൂടുതൽ സമയം വേണം.

ON ALL GENUINE reviews on EV cars I could see that the RANGE is always 150 KM less than what they claim in normal driving conditions.. if the customer is true about its real-life range then it will be surely 150 km less no doubt about it. otherwise, he had to drive painfully slow to achieve a better range
