I had a pretty good feeling Mike was SA’d. If it were simply just the hitting, then it would make more sense if he was scared if people rose their voices or put up their arms towards him. Being scared of physical contact completely? Yea. Also I like that Mike has my thought process somewhat. That people have choices. William chose to he neglectful. Terrance chose to snap at Mike. Mike chooses to never ask for help, etc. Choices are simply a part of things that happen. The belief that simply, even though you are the victim in a situation, there are choices that leg to said situation you chose. You still have to take that small amount of responsibility. Mike simple takes to much, it takes to little.

I swear someone could set off a nuclear bomb somewhere and Mike would blame himself somehow. As far as he knows what happened with Evan was a power malfunction, William did a number on him.

Alex has strong determination to protect Mike, to keep him safe. To be there for him. But at what cost does this come in? Heartbreak when Mike lies about himself, and burning himself out. We need to appreciate the effort Alex puts in and acknowledge what he’s done! I understand Evan, sometimes the pity someone gives you is what fuels your anger and makes you want to prove yourself. It makes you upset when someone thinks of you as a weak, little kid. You want to actually be strong, brave! You want to prove them wrong! But sometimes this is something that you might regret because of how anger changes you… I’m sure a group of us had our theories for this one, and ima be honest my first thought was that he got SA’d. The position in which he was touched in the “Aftons fact their fears” gave me that thought. If he was actually scared of the physical harm that can be done, that is not how he would react and what would’ve been seen. I honestly feel a need to say that if the Aftons don’t know about this from the challenge, they need to be more observant. I’m not calling anyone out since it might just be part of the plot or just what should happen to make the storyline fall in place in future events. This punishment has told us a lot about these three, a new view of them to some. But to everyone, it is something we can think about for a long time…

One thing I would advise Alex though, Although I have not gone through this myself so, take what I say with a grain of salt.That the more you try to get someone to open up about SA the more they’ll try to avoid the question or from talking about it, because I have heard some stories where the victim will usually tend to blame themselves for something that was out of their control especially if it was whilst under the influence of alcohol (not all cases though I must add),In my end I don’t think Alex can help him the way he thinks. But this my opinion on this, I think the only way to help him is by having ether professional help or by talking to his parents maybe (his choice tho), another thing I noticed is that Michael self-blames himself whenever something goes wrong or for what happened to him or anyone else e.g blames himself for Evan’s death which was nobody’s fault because nobody knew what would happen, and the SA which he also didn’t know would be what would happen once he was under the influence of alcohol, it’s a repeating behaviour I had a suspicion of.

This AU seems to go out of its way to make Michael suffer lol,which while not a negative thing is something I may be the only one I've noticed lol

I feel so bad for all three of them.. And honestly Michael's experience explains a lot, and his opinion that boys can't be SA'd by girls is probably the effect of William's behavior, his he wanted both Terrance and Michael to be "real men"- I wonder how he'd react if he found out that his behavior caused Mike to view his own experiences through that lens 🤔Also poor Evan and Alex, Evan just wanting to prove that he isn't to be messed with is honestly pretty relatable to me, since whenever kids would pick on me i would just wait for the right time to prove to them that my patience has a limit. And poor Alex..i can't imagine how scared and worried he must have been, and seeing Michael consider the experience as something he himself should be blamed for also probably hurts 😟 Also wonder who Jack is, this is getting more and more exciting! ^^

This is gonna sound dumb but what if Mike got given something small he can hold/store in his pocket and if he's feeling down or anxious instead of having to verbally tell someone he can just show them. He could even hide the fact he's reaching out for help by simply saying "how cool is this little guy?" Or a bracelet he can flip over to show he isn't feeling great. I'm suggesting these as they were the tools that somewhat helped me start braving asking for help I still spiral beforehand and wait ages to do so but I do ask for help in a few classes and elsewhere.

And whats super heartbreaking about this is Mike and Alex, it's so sad how mike feels that he isnt a victim and he'll never be, and how he can't let anyone in anymore because he feels as if they'll give up on him, and hurt him. She's being really kind bc she knows how bad what Evan did, or maybe even calms it down from a 80% to a 40%...bc she's making everyone turn on Evan and not giving him 1 person to talk too.
