Basically a song for those who went abroad to send dollars back home so their families would be better off. The families miss their young sons who have left trying to make their lives better. Would rather have him home with them than away in a different land. "Oh Punjabi shera, sadh da tenu aye Punjab" means "Oh young lion, your home land calls you" Sounds corny when translated but hits home.
