Eight basenjis gathered on a steamy summer morning in New York City’s Washington Square Park. Puppy Arnold (male, six-months-old,) engaged with exciting tussles with puppy Godwin (female, nine-months-old,) and showed his ability to fetch a tennis ball. They were joined by puppy Shua (male, six-months-old,) Uni (female, yearling,) Zuri (female, two-years-old,) Zion (male, three-years-old,) Dante (male, five-years-old,) and Kepler (male, eight-years-old.) Three of today’s dogs will celebrate birthdays in July: Zion will be four on 3 July 2023, Uni will be two on 8 July, and Kepler will be nine on 24 July. Starting temperature: 75°F|23.9°C
