My buddy John introduced me to Eduard who is a co-founder of Bark4Compassion. After hearing a little about his mission to rescue animals from kill shelters and fly them to their new adoptive families, I knew I wanted to help. I gave Eduard my number and soon he reached out to me to help with Brownie and Ranger. They are two sweet labs that were abandoned in Texas and scheduled to be put to sleep if we couldn't get them to Chicago where a family wanted to adopt them. He put me in touch with the Pilots n Paws coordinator and I was able to fly the final segment from St Louis to Chicago.

There is a special place in heaven for guys like you Kevin. Nicely done and the dogs were so well behaved. Dogs that get rescued seem to understand they are getting a better place and they seem so grateful. I know Jamie would have fallen in love instantly. Probably best she wasn't along.

Thanks a million for finally flying an animal rescue mission. I had been hoping to see you take part in such a worth while venture for some time now. We have flown 524 endangered animals to safety over the past several years. Many of our Pilots n Paws rescue flights are featured on our own You tube channel. Thanks again for saving those two beautiful Labs, and I hope to see more rescue flights in the future.

I’m on the Board of Directors for Port City Hope Animal Rescue in Mobile, AL and pilots, like you, are true heroes. Transportation to other cities is often the difference between life and death for rescue dogs. Thank You so much for transporting these 2 Labs. Wow! Being a Dog Lover I feel so good about just being able to tag along on this mission. 6 years ago we adopted a dog that was scheduled to be put down. She is still with us, grey face and all.

Kevin, I am the one who contacted you last year about doing a Pilots N Paws flight. I am glad to see you have finally done it. It is a win win for everybody. We have had many flights from Pilots N Paws pilots fly in dogs to Dixon, Il (Walgreen Field) and Rochelle, IL , Koritz Field (RPJ) for our rescue. We actually had quite a few Dobermans flown in to us from Jon W. the co-founder of Pilots N Paws many years ago. I encourage all pilots out there to look into making Pilots N Paws flights. Great mission Kevin…wonderful example of the positive contribution GA makes to animal welfare. A number of pilots here in Manitoba contribute to flying dogs from up North to new homes in the south. It is, as you say, very rewarding!

Great job & thank you! We adopted a dog last April from a wonderful Rescue Group, Hearts United for Animals, who rescued our pup from a kill shelter. He's an 'All American", IE mixed breed & a great dog. Thanks again for helping unite great dogs with forever homes.

Outstanding Kevin! Charity flying is very rewarding. I have done some Angel Flights in the south east through Angel Flight Soars. Nothing like it. Very sweet dogs that will make some families very happy. They are no doubt man’s best friend!
