There are two new pups on the side of the hill ,
having fun in the sun with all the thrills and spills ,
chasing each others tails and barking like there's no tomorrow,
I remember how he would always take me there , how I loved to catch the frisbee out of the air
and how i'd hide in the bushes when he shouted to me time to go.
Down by the river he taught me to swim , I was pretty scared so he just threw me in , but he slipped on the bank and made a big splash right behind me.
We sat on the bank both soaking wet it's times like this i'll never forget , he was the first one that ever treated me kindly.
And to anyone it's plain to see that I love him and he loves me , together forever i'll always be his best friend.
And I know we'll love each other till the end.
Well now those two pups are being carried home , they played too hard and it's time to go,
while master and I just sit by this old swing watching,,
We don't go too far anymore our legs aren't like they were before ,
so we spend more time just sitting here in the sun lazing
we have an understanding both him and I whoever will be the first to die, it won't be too long before the other one follows behind.
And if it's me he knows i'll wait , patiently for him at heavens gate , then we'll run together in that big park in the sky .
