Edey definitely lacks that quick adjustment ability on defense around the hoop and it's going to be a problem in the NBA but I just don't see how he's projected as a late second rounder?

NBA teams aren’t really looking for centers as much nowadays. Unless they have insane handles and speed.

@@emmettebramble10 Well there aren't many, but more important for a center nowadays is 3 and D. Myles Turner for example is a great modern center with his 3-point shooting and rim protection. Perhaps Edey can develop the 3-point shot; he would only need to shoot in the low 30s (%)

@d2r-leetloot551 You have Joel and Giannis in that category. What teams want from their centers these days is a high baseball IQ, so you can run your offense through them from the circle down. PnP, PnR, DHO. Be an excellent passer- Jokic, Sabonis, Sangun, etc. Or be big mobile men-Adams, Valentunis, etc

Please explain, if part of your foot is out of the lane then it doesn't count towards the 3 seconds. Watch the play again and count to three when both of his feet are fully in the lane. You can't because he wasn't in there for over 3 seconds... 🤦‍♂️

How is he so productive if he has no skill? There are other tall guys around college basketball who aren’t anywhere near as productive as he is. Is it scheme? Luck? I’m curious your thoughts. Sure he’s not quick and can’t shoot, but he has good hands, can hit free throws, and shoots a great hook shot.
