I'm sorry, but i'ts true. If the 49ers lose I can almost guarantee that McKivitz got beat like a drum and Thomas got a PI or two and got beat. My god....those guys have been getting beat all year and Purdy was the highest rated passer in the league. This ain't rocket science.

Kyle for some reason calls aweful game plans sometimes. Greenbay game being one of them. Brock is a great QB when he has his Rhythm and confidence. Kyle usually starts run game and PA to do that. But against Greenbay he went spread.

This ravens season so far has been historically good by a lot of metrics. The fact that this KC team was only a 3.5 point dog on the road is the ultimate respect for Mahomes. He’s the reason the line isn’t over a touchdown.

The fact that Shannahan called 39 passing plays in the rain when the Niners were down less than 1 score the entire game showed Shannahan is super confident in Brock Purdy. I personally don’t like the game plan because they should be run focus in the rain, but Purdy did come through at the end.

The biggest problems for the Niners are the right side of the O line and their second corner. No Hufanga hurts as well. Then Brock potentially throwing 4 picks is the next problem. Nick claims to watch the games, but he is sooooo attached to a view that he can't alter it. He refuses to be nuanced when it comes to a view he is entrenched in.

I’m a die-hard Niner fan. I can name all 53 on the active roster which is a lot more than the casual. I’ve watched every snap the past four seasons. Weaknesses in order: #1 - Pass Protection #2 - Safeties #3 - Kick Coverage #4 - Kicking No other weaknesses on the team.

Brou brings up an excellent point that gets immediately hand waved by Nick and Greg, the Niners starting D-Line of Bosa, Young, Hargrave and Armstead gets paid like $80 million and had ZERO SACKS against Green Bay. Combine that with how Goff plays when he’s under pressure vs how he plays when he doesn’t, and I am far more worried about whether our D Line will be getting their job done against the Lions.

In clean weather in a clean pocket, he's elite. In elements and/or with a bad OL, he's not gonna fare that well. This is coming from a Lions fan. @@Travolta12e The problem is why IS there criticism? Purdy set a 49ers record for passing yards in a season. Had arguably the most efficient season in NFL history. 20-5 as a starter. It's absurd that a 1st year starter is expected to play perfectly EVERY game. The very idea that Purdy's critics are using star veterans as the comparison is the very thing that loses their argument. Purdy throws for 260, 1 td, 0 int, has a game winning drive, in the rain, without Deebo and they'll say this is a bad game while the AFC "superstar" QB's pass for 150yds and get praised. Jordan Love has a chance for a game winning drive and ends up throwing his 2nd INT. These same people will tell you "Gotta love what Love did this season, he's young, he'll only get better". Purdy is younger than Love. Love tutored behind a future HOFer for years. And they're both in their first full year as a starter. I think that Purdy being graded as if he's a 6-7 year vet just destroys their own arguments. The Purdy hate is borderline disturbing.

Nick is just plain wrong here. Why is he calling purdy the weakest link when he won’t even admit trevor is the jags’ weakest link. It’s not like purdy has trash stats this season. Why does it matter who’s the weakest link in a team that’s performing at a high level? Why will there always be an exception when it comes to purdy? Imagine the narrative if trevor had purdy’s numbers. Nick would campaign for him to be the mvp. I don’t know why he hates the guy so much. The rude awakening is when you realize Purdy isnt a weakness, hes just not the best player on the offense. But thats because half the offensive players are elite. So if the weakest player on offense is graded at a B+ then your team is probably on an elite level.

He isn't a B+. If everyone else is an A+ he is atleast an A and I would argue the others are better because of Brock. The only offensive player im taking over Brock is Cmc and cmc has the luxury of playing with the best blocking TE in football, the best Fullback in football, an offensively minded coach who commands a run first offense, the best blocking wide recievers and the best run blocking offensive line in the league. As a 49ers' fan, the biggest weakness on the team is the offensive line. We are also not as good on defense as we were in previous seasons. Purdy is the reason the 49ers have a good chance to win the Super Bowl. He is the best QB Shanahan has had in his time as head coach of the 49ers.

Bru actually speaks from an analytical perspective. I know he has his "favorites", but he more than often admits when he was wrong on his assessment of a situation that he otherwise believed in. That's integrity. Nick and Jennings, however, are like the "bad guys" of the show where they say the dumbest things and we can't wait to see them trip over their own words. Once again, clearly Nick and Greg show that they don't pay attention to stats or know how to watch the tape. If you want to talk about the true weaknesses of the Niners, it isn't Brock Purdy. He is one of the biggest strengths of the offense and one of the best leaders in the huddle for the players around him. The biggest weaknesses for the Niners have been the offensive line, special teams, and the secondary plus run defense, but they don't pay attention to that. lol

well unfortunately for you we watch the games so were smart enough to know brock isn’t as good as his stats indicate. there’s at least 12-15 other quarterbacks in the league that would put the 49ers in a better situation than brock purdy

Don’t get me wrong, he’s good for this offense cause they have a incredible RB in Cmc to take the load off of purdy, but to act like purdy is elite is a big stretch. 49ers as a whole is elite. Oline to play makers at all level is elite on both side. As long as he don’t turn the ball over, it be hard to beat them. With cmc running, the defense have to respect him and that opens up easy passes for purdy to make. He’s not out there just slanging passes thru tight windows over and over. He just dumping the ball off and the skill players is doing the rest. More of a system qb then anything. We already seen a 4int game he threw this year. Lucky GB miss that FG to be ahead 7 or else things might would have been different. He is the weakest on his team that’s for sure

@huntersartin Considering I actually watched all 16 of Brocks games this year you're just flat out wrong and clearly don't watch him. There are maybe 3 or 4 other qbs in the nfl that can read a defense and go thru their reads as quick as Purdy and make the tight window throws layered over linebackers WITH anticipation. He throws the ball before the wr even breaks half the time. He also keeps plays alive with his mobility despite having a BOTTOM 10 pass blocking line. He outplayed EVERY qb this year except for dak

@@SoloDoloToker this just isn’t true. objectively speaking, hes in the same tier as tua. lamar jackson, patrick mahomes, dak prescott, cj stroud, josh allen, jordan love, matt stafford, justin herbert and joe burrow are all objectively better qbs. you conveniently leave out the fact that kyle shanahan really simplifies the playbook as much as possible for him as well.

Purdy-CMC reminds of Malone and Stockton. Malone was the workhorse of the team and the best player on the team but they needed a distributor like Stockton. Stockton career highlights like Purdue wouldn’t be as impressive visually as other players. Stockton also was added to the Olympic team when Isaiah should have been. Similar to the dream team selection, Purdy probably shouldn’t have been in the top 5 but he was.

Nah, niner fan here confirming Purdy isn't our biggest weakness. Our biggest weaknesses are the kicker, O-line, and consistency and discipline on defense. All the hate being thrown at Purdy last week when defense slipped on crucial plays and gave up 2 big pass interference calls. Defensive penalties also destroyed our momentum against the Ravens which is what started them running away with the game.

I am a Lions fan and I want my team to win. However, I honestly think the 49ers would have a better chance to win the Super Bowl, especially if the AFC is represented by the Ravens. Against the Chiefs I think the Lions would have an opportunity. I honestly don't understand all the effort that Nick and others put into degrading Brock Purdy. Mentally the kid is sharp, he makes good decisions and executes well when the ball is dry. And yes, he has great players around him and a great coach too. No need to apologise for that.

Nick’s lebron argument is atrocious. In the NBA , a playoff matchup is at least 4 games. In NFL it’s 1 game. Obviously in NBA, the team with 2 of the best 3 players on court will most likely win the series. It’s even more likely when one of the 2 is the greatest or one of the greatest of all time. Also, in NBA, players play both sides of the ball. Lebron is in more control of the outcome of a playoff series than Mahomes is in control of the outcome of a playoff game. Even if both are the GOATs of their respective sports. And I’m a chiefs fan.

Bigger weaknesses on the niners than Purdy: the entire offensive line, barring one man, and I would definitely say I don’t trust our kicker in big moments. If Nick really wants to go after a young player that might cost the niner’s their season in a final big moment, I would definitely say Moody is more likely that player than Purdy.

His argument is so weak too. “I can’t believe the Niners have a bad O-Line with Trent Williams”. Except they do & THAT is why it was so huge when he was injured earlier this year (aka Brock had no protection). Also if he watched the games, he might realize Special Teams is a big weakness for Niners.
