Hello! Thank you for reaching out. Both Auto-Brightness and manually adjustable brightness features are available. The radio has settings for 'Active' (when the radio is turned on), and 'Standby' (when the radio is on standby) dimming function. This can be set to Auto or the brightness can be set to a specific value (manual). As for the 12-hour mode, this is unfortunately not available. The brightness can be set to auto which will adjust the display based on the lighting in the device's environment automatically.

The Siesta S6 display brightness has settings for 'Active' (when the radio is turned on), and 'Standby' (when the radio is on standby), as well as an Auto-dimming function that can be turned off in favor of setting it manually to a specific value. To do that: 1. Turn the radio on and ensure you can hear a station playing. 2. Press the Menu button. 3. Scroll using the < > button to 'DISPLAY' and press the Select (Snooze) button. 4. Scroll < > to 'BACKLIGHT' and press the Select button. 5. Scroll < > to 'ACTIVE' to change the settings that apply when Siesta is switched on, or scroll to <> ‘STANDBY’ and press the Select button to change settings that apply in standby. 6. Scroll < > to 'BRIGHTNESS' and press the Select button. 7. Scroll < > and select a level from 1 to 5 (we recommend 2 or 3), or set it to 'Auto'.

@@PureAudioHQ I tried it and I must say this is one of the less radioclocks who can dimm the display so down that it don't disturb me at sleeping. But a stroke of genius is that the key lights are on permanentely. I expected that they turn off after some seconds or the menu offers to deactivate them. But they produce more light than the display on the lowest level. 🙈I think the main cause what make the alarm clock displays too bright is that actual all want white or blue numbers. In former times the industry used red or orange colors for the numbers, that iis the visible light with the lowest energy. White light is a mixture of all colors,so it's no wonder why it lights up the room much more. Maybe a perfect combination would be a red or orange LED display only for the time and another one for the music information only when the radio is playing music.
