As a concept artist and illustrator, paying $15 to support this product I use for every. Single. Project. Is a no brainer. The drawing tools are unbelievably handy and all the UI changes have been noticeably slicker. Thanks for such a great product. Originally, I was worried this was going to a subscription but was happy to shell some dollary-doos your way when I saw it hadn't (for individuals anyways).

they also added a much better slideshow functionality So you can select a group of images and only scroll through theese with the arrow keys.!!!

You can select the group on the Hierarchy and hit F2 and you will able to change the name of the group. Best Regards, Alexis

Awesome, I replaced Pureref with Miro because I needed more features at the time. These are all the things I was looking for so this is very exciting

It would be cool to be able to: - work online with different users connected to the same document - Add a launcer with previs images (so you don't need to search it in your folder) Or be able to save an image as icon to the pureref archive (easier to find).

There is other software out there that does stuff like this but it costs money usually or has limits until you pay. I think the main idea for groups anyways is to have the meeting room whiteboard experience where most of the pre-planning design magic happens.

Well, at that point... May I introduce you two to "Excalidraw" 📝 - Opensource and free on collaboration with other users while you can also save it locally too. (Mind you I've only recently (a month ago) discovered/using it so take my description lightly). - The other features you've said I don't believe it has. It can't do what PureRef can but it can do what PureRef can't ;) ...Although "Excalidraw" I believe is the site version of "obsidian" software, meaning feature set may vary. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

To remove an image from a group, you do not need to press Ctrl+J. The image can be moved to another group with the left mouse button, or copied, deleted, and pasted to any other location. Ctrl+C/Del/Ctrl+V

This is so good, these are all the features I wanted! Only other thing I could ask for is an iPad or web release, that would make it perfect.

Truly wild that this popped up in my feed after rewinding and pausing an artist video hours earlier to get a glimpse at the tools name they used and noticing it was this one. First and only time I've ever looked at this app, haven't even searched it and yet... Here it is. Anyways, neat tool, will be looking into it later.

Thank you so much, these are exactly the features i wished to see. 1 Question about sending data window that appears at the start, i would like to share my data with you because why not but is it getting it when the app's closed or only when i use it, and does it affect performance? Sorry i'm very passionate about optimizing everything on my pc. Cheers!

Honestly, the last thing it "needs" (saying needs loosely here), is the ability to connect images via a line -- akin to Miro.

Pureref is really neat to look at. The only thing i wish it would have would have arrow connections between the boxes like milanote or obsidian

I am thinking that maybe cool if we can open/ edit pureref file, on cross platform apps, like vizref or vice versa. Personally sometimes I prepared the moodboard on pc then had to continue it on ipad. Thanks

Can't zoom in with mouse wheel if there is more than one image, then all images zoom in out.

Nice update but disappointed by its slow speed compared to V1.... Missing the speed of V1 badly... Should have waited before upgrading.

My number one request is faster save and load times. I run Pureref from a NAS because I access projects from a few different computers, and performance is always an issue.

Thanks for the update ... but, I'm sure that there must be many people, who, like me, have never heard of this software. I get the gist of it, I think, having watched this, but it would be really nice if you could have started the video with a quick explainer on this software. How long has it been around? What's it's main purpose, and for who? Is it best in class? I don't think that is too much to ask, given it would only take a minute or so to describe, for those of us who are completely new to it. It would make a world of difference to my engagement with the video. Thank you.

by far the best in class having collected a bunch of reference images, PureRef is essentially an image viewer; most users have it running at the same time as whatever other software they're using to create free to use for personal use; feel free to donate if you want good luck with it

I think it's because it's been pretty "industry standard" for game art ( 3d,concept..etc ) , people just assume everyone on the same page. But the devs went on a long hiatus so there had been nothing new about the software for a long time until this update

I think at least 95% of people using blender, Maya, or whatever are familiar with pure ref, that's probably why PzThree omitted some additional info. In a sense is like introducing Photoshop ("you can edit images and photos with it guys"),. Even if not as famous as Photoshop pure ref is a really well know program in the 3d space

looks like that's been added; you may need to hover over the title bar of your pureref window to see them, depending on what settings you have re title bar; also added a 'pin' to change the 'always on top' setting
