You forgot to show 3 of the most usefull tips. 1 - to make the backgroud transparent to overlay any other software 2 - to lock images to mouse button so you could paint of 3D sculpt over them. 3 - to make pics transparent overn any other software.

Thanks i was looking for that transparent one to use z brush but didn't knew how to stick those images after your mention infound the transparent one and boom it's done

Pressing "Space" makes the selected image bigger ..maybe helpful for someone :)

Great video and amazingly powerful tool. I just got into using Blender finally doing modeling and sculpting and I was using 4 image editor windows to hold references. Now I can have one window overtop with multiple references, perfectly match the window colour so it blends in with my Blender interface, lock it in place and even set all the images to greyscale (easier on my eyes when looking at details or dealing with bright colours).

One very very useful shortcut not mentionned in the video : 'C'. It allows you to crop the image right away. You just press C and then select the part of the image you wish to keep.

It took Windows decades to allow multi folders in same window with Windows 11. I wonder when they plan to bring always on top feature than Linux always had.

Command - decreased opacity, Command shift + won't let me increase opacity on a mac. Any ideas? Otherwise guess I'll download and reinstall? Great video!

hmm... didn't actually realize you would use the PureRef window without exporting everything to a jpg or png. Reminds me of my parents always wanting to print stuff on paper, I want to constantly have jpgs of everything 😅

PureRef is free you just need to go to custom and type in 0 and download

is there a way to grab the entire canvas as is and move it to a different spot? I can't move the canvas, just resize, and move images.

yeah It's not obvious, but left-click I(if you're using a mouse) and drag, I agree, when you start using, it its a put-off.

yep! just right click anywhere, then hit "Save," then hit "Export." There are options in there to do just that. :)

Hi there, may i ask something please. Does this only work with a mouse? i have a laptop with trackpad on it and cant get it to zoom or move around. Any help would be most appreciated

@@DiyEcoProjects why? Btw i found out how to fix it, go to "Windows ink" and enable the fuction "let me use my pen as a mouse in some apps" (something like that)

Hi, I know this comment is 2 years old but if anyone scrolls here and wonder the same thing... My trackpad doesn't work on my Mac either, however, my Magic Mouse does :)
