That one section looked so narrow. Pretty waterfall, but the rocks are the real star of this hike. So many cool formations and so tall! Thanks for sharing.

Yes I think the rocks steal the show. I would not skip little Purgatory though.

It's a fun place to explore, haven't been there in 7-8 years probably. I remember it being packed but I could see it being fun to have to yourself early in the day.

I have had it on my list to do for years now. I had fun for sure. This was a cold morning in the off season that would definitely help with the crowds. Maybe go on a weekday for even less crowds.

Thank you. I grew up one town away and we rode bikes to the Chasm. It’s so beautiful; and the caves are terrifying, although most of them are off limits now. Again thank you

John, your video was VERY well produced. Great creative shots. I used to work for a broadcast TV station and formal college level training on how to shoot and edit. Looks like a segment that you would see on Ch 5 Chronicle.

Appreciate the feedback for sure. I put a lot of time and effort into my videos. They are meant to entertain but also inform. I have no formal training but I try to emulate what I see in others videos. It takes more time to edit than to film for sure.

I grew up a few miles down the street from the Chasm. My favorite cave was a small hole in the ground surrounded by roots. It was only big enough for daring kids and it was a scary one. It ran underground linear to the trail on the floor of the chasm and came up about 30' south of the entrance. I doubt it is accessible now. If anyone ever got stuck in that, God help them). There was another that started in Devils cave and went upwards. That one came out of the cliff ledge. Unfortunately the Chasm has taken many lives as well so you need to be careful and not take risks. I can tell you that is was a very unpleasant to experience to help rescue and extract people from there.
