That plant is an orchid, they need full sun and minimal water. I don’t think it’s dead but just in its dormant period.

The plant is an orchid. Your orchid is perfectly fine. Any stems that don't show any signs of new buds forming at the end of the stem after the blooms die or the stem has browned just cut off the stem near the leaves. A new stem will emerge in the late winter or early spring. The stems usually bloom for about 2-3 months. Usually after the blooms are spent is a good time to repot the orchid. They can be potted using spagnum moss or orchid bark. There is a KZfaq channel called "Miss Orchid Girl" that has great info. Also, if you have a high quality garden center in your area that sells orchids they can advise you and may even offer repotting services for you. Orchids are wonderful! Just be patient and water every 1-2 weeks. I prefer to use a liquid fertilizer that is for orchids. I just mix it with water in a container and then it's ready to water whenever. Ice cubes are really not the best watering option. Good luck!

The plant is an orchid. It definitely is not dead. The spent blooms are done blooming. Snip them off. Cut the stem. Do NOT over water it. Put it in light and leave it alone. It will rest for months and then shoot up new stems and produce new blooms! I have one I’ve had for 5 years and it blooms in the winter!🙋♀️💖

Don't throw out the orchid! Water once a week with an ice cube or two. It needs a sunny spot. Cut back the flower part/stem when it's done flowering and keep the green plant part. I am not good w plants but my orchid is doing fine. I have been selling my daughter's discard stuff to help her w college-purses, clothes, books, etc.

It looks like an orchid. Orchids are my favorite. Once they die, they can come back. I learned that after I threw out many. Finally I learned that and sure enough it works. Only water a little. The moss only needs to be damp.

The orchid can definitely be revived. You can trim off the dead pieces, and it’ll most likely bounce back. It most likely won’t bloom again for awhile though, so you may want to gift it to a plant person that loves orchids

Your orchid will be ok. I'm not very good ag keeping plants, either, but these I can do. Although the flowers often die completely but they grow new stems, so stick with it. 😊

For your table runner This stain remover WORKS on virtually any stain, whether it's old or new : in a container, mix equal parts of baking soda and liquid detergent ( or Dawn) mix them up into a paste. Rub that paste into your stain with an old toothbrush. After that, spray a small amount of hydrogen peroxide over the stain, rub again with the toothbrush and let it sit for five minutes. Next, rinse it under water ( because you don't want too much dish soap in your washing machine) and launder as usual.
@lanamichalski320814 күн бұрын
For the bowl, try this first before getting rid of it. Take a q-tip and some hydrogen peroxide. Moisten the q-tip with a bit of the peroxide....outline the design of the stain. Let sit for several minutes and wipe with a damp cloth. See if it is gone. You may need to repeat.

That “and” sign (&) is called an ampersand, and I think it is so funny you would want to declutter it BECAUSE I feel it represents decluttering the way you used to think (and me too). I used to joke that “I prefer ‘and’ to ‘or.’” It was easy to keep adding to my life-items, responsibilities, etc. Now I definitely prefer OR!!! Peace out, ampersand!!!

I have a bed tray like that. I now use it in my bathroom closet to create a “shelf” for separating my hand towels from bath towels. That way if I ever need a bed tray again, it’s there. But meanwhile it’s pulling a double duty.

Smaller print florals do tend to age. Bigger florals are better, more contemporary. Glad you're back. Hope you're having a great summer.

I cant keep anything alive either haha but my husband also got me an orchid for mothers day a year ago, my husband soaks the orchid for a couple minutes every week/week and half (when the soil is completely dry) and it sits in a window where it gets indirect sun and it has survived. The flowers do die eventually and you just pop them off. And it will rebloom the next year. Ours just had it first rebloom which was exciting lol.

Please...no ice cubes on the orchid - they are tropical plants. (Not dead. The flowers are fading. Eventually the whole stalk will turn brown and you can cut it off at the base. You can actually cut the brown bits off as they happen.) They like east-facing windows/morning light. Water every other week. The moth, or phaleonopsis, orchid is fairly easy care, but can be difficult to get it to re-flower. The easiest care plant is a sansevieria. Water once a month. The next most easy care plant is a pathos or a philodendron (heart-shaped leaves, grows like a vine). The "and" sign is an ampersand.

The plastic direction stake that came with my orchid says to water once a week with an icecube. Mine seems to be thriving, even after it was done flowering the leaves are green. Maybe it's certain types that you water differently.
