I’ve never seen that technique. I always thought the colors got lost when people would do this, but you made it make sense and the colors actually pop. It looks wonderful 😁

Wil loose if you do with whiped cream. Buttercream frosting will work like this

Loved the puffy design before you scraped ( im a icing lover) think I would have made purple flowers with icing tho. But came out very neat.

I love the crazy quilt look of the original swirls before the scraping. Buttercream flowers would have work for me, too! That said, your purple cake is beautiful.

Gorgeous AND unique!!! If you have a Kroger's Grocery Store nearby, they have an extensive floral department with loads of long stem roses in all different colors.....prolly purple, too!
