J-38's Incident Report: "On 7-27-23, at approximately 11:30 P.M., I, Trooper First Class, Robert Neese #202 was sitting stationary on the right shoulder of the road on Highway 65 north of Clinton Arkansas. I observed a silver Hyundai Sonata traveling southbound on Highway 65. I noticed that the left tail light was broken and shining a white light to the rear. The vehicle's brake lights came on after it passed by me and I could see the white light get very bright. I made a lane change from the right shoulder of the road and started to travel on Highway 65 southbound to catch up with the vehicle to make a traffic stop for a defective/ improper tail lamp. After catching up with the vehicle, I initiated my blue emergency lights and radioed into Troop J communications the tag number of the vehicle as Arkansas AKW78I. The vehicle showed no signs of slowing down. The vehicle then made a lane change to the left turn lane to make a left turn onto Highway 16 East. I then initiated my emergency siren. At this point, I realized the vehicle had no plans of stopping in a safe area in town for the traffic stop. I radioed in to notify Troop J that I was in pursuit of the vehicle. The speed of the vehicle began to reach approximately 89 miles per hour and driving in the opposite lane of travel in curves and hill crests. I observed an object being thrown from the vehicle's sunroof and struck the front portion of my patrol unit. The liquid was splattered over my windshield and the front portion of my patrol unit. The vehicle made a right turn onto Banner Mountain Road. The vehicle began to drive very recklessly crossing the center line, driving in the opposite lane around curves and reaching speeds in the upper 80s in some straight stretches. The vehicle made another right turn onto Banner Mountain Road while still driving across the center line and into the other lane of travel. At one point in this stretch of the pursuit, the vehicle turned the tail lights off and then turned them back on. The vehicle then made a right turn, traveling through a church parking lot and onto Banner Mountain Road. The vehicle then proceeded to speed back up reaching speeds in the high 70s. The vehicle then made a right turn onto Orchard Road and then a left turn onto Lace Lane running a stop sign. The vehicle then made a right turn onto Highway 330 southbound failing to stop at another stop sign at the intersection. After turning onto Highway 330 and due to the disregard for human life by the driver of the fleeing vehicle, I decided to try and utilize a T.V.I. ( tactical vehicle intervention ) and end the pursuit. As I tried to get up next to the vehicle, the driver of the vehicle began to counteract and would not let me get close. As I was trying to get up to the right side of the vehicle, the driver of the vehicle hit the brakes causing contact between the right rear portion of the vehicle and the left front portion of my bumper. I tried again to get up to the left side portion of the vehicle and the vehicle slammed on its brakes and ran slightly off the road to the right. The vehicle then accelerated and traveled back onto the roadway where I was able to perform a T.V.I. with the right portion of my bumper to the left rear side portion of the vehicle. The vehicle made a 180-degree turn and started to travel back northbound continuing on Highway 330. The vehicle made a left turn into the parking lot of Reeves Grocery Store for a final stop. I got out and initiated a Felony take down at gunpoint. The driver and front seat passenger were both arrested without further incident at approximately 11:48 p.m. The driver was identified by his Arkansas driver’s license as Bradon Joseph Duncan D.O.B. 7-24-2001. The front seat passenger was identified by her Arkansas driver’s license Nina Clark 10-7-2001. The fleeing vehicle sustained damage to the left and right rear portions of the vehicle. My patrol unit only sustained minor damage to the bumper. The driver was charged with the following: COUNT #1: 5-54-125(d) - FLEEING -Vehicle or Conveyance, Class D Felony. COUNT #2: 8-6-406 1st - Littering - 1st offense. COUNT #3: 27-36-215- Vehicle Lights - Defective/Improper Tail Lamps and Reflectors."

There's probably no brakes left on momma's car either. All i can say is another great job by the trooper and officers backing him up. Love that the female officer knows the criminals in her area.

It is bad enough you might have gotten a ticket, but running for Arkansas cops, is an almost guarantee, your car will not survive.

I don't care whether you 'think' the cop has a reason to pull you over or not, you HAVE to pull over. It IS against the law to not pull over and find out. If you disagree with the officer's reasoning, then you can contest tickets in court, etc. This is the reason why there needs to be more education about how to deal with law enforcement, why LEOs take the actions that they do, and the reason for the laws that we have. There should be something like a conference in high school before a driver's ed or during it. Now, hillbilly Willy is going to hillbilly jaily.
