Until about 2 days ago I didn't know what a PIT was - so son was over fixing something for me and I was telling him about it. He laughed and explained that as part of his military police training they were taught the PIT -- though he swears he never had to use it. Thank goodness for all involved.

I really like how they "shut it down". Even if we cannot see it, the officers are right there and see more than what we can on their cameras. Lesson to learn, if you hear sirens and "kind of" see lights, slow down and MOVE OVER for your own safety. Now not saying that if they are WAY off in the distance. Common sense and paying attention is a MUST.

A few miles from this spot is the Woolverton Mountain Cemetery where I have kin from the 1850s to recently. One of my uncles was born in Formosa. I do genealogy research and the place names around this part of Arkansas are everywhere in my family tree. My mother was born in Greenway, Clay County.

@@richcook2007 The man who wrote that song , Claude King, is supposed to be a relative but I haven’t found the connection yet in my research. Clifton Clowers, the man in the song was real. I found him in several census years.

@@traceyrhodes9455 I got a head start because my mothers’s half uncle wrote a family history that he self published in 1956. He was a professor of medicine at the University of Arkansas. He sent a copy to everyone in the family and asked them to pass it on if they didn’t want it. I found a copy in the Clayton Genealogy Library in Houston, TX and I still have the copy my mother got. It is the History of the Oates-Sublett Family. I am on the Oates side. I still refer to the book and it is dog eared from all the hours I have spent referring to it and adding the information into some software called Family Tree.

As a Canadian, you never see anything like this here… I’m always amazed by these Arkansas cops!! They mean the business but quick! Their should be a tv show based around these cops alone. It’s fascinating. It’s pretty boring around here compared to there! I was just thinking.. imagine being out for a country drive and seeing this around the bend! I can only imagine the adrenaline pumping in this Trooper during the initial stop of both vehicles. They're almost window to window and the officer doesn't know if the suspect has a weapon. It takes precious seconds for the officer to put his car in park and draw his weapon. Thank God it didn't end with a face to face shoot out. 🙏

Unfortunately for these Troopers, they seem to be overlooked for a lot of the basic things that other agencies have, eg, gloves, body cameras and proper photographic equipment for big accidents and drug bust’s ??? They should have a standard for policing ??? Some even have to supply their own long guns…
