RIP Vince Scully. I am a Yankees fan, age 52, and loved you in this movie. You were the best broadcaster ever in real life. Thank you for letting me listen to you call games all these years.

As a Dodger fan this chokes me up. A lifetime spent listening to Vin. There was no greater feeling than Vin announcing the first spring game out of Vero Beach. It was when I realized spring had arrived and baseball was back. Will miss you Vin.

Lucky bastard....I always wish I could have heard vin....a legend behind the mic....the babe ruth of sports broadcasters....it doesn't get any better than him....I'm a mets fan I just wish he would have been our broadcaster, if the dodgers would have never left NY then I would have been able to hear him...all we have is bob murphy and lindsey nelson, I'm 34 so I caught murphy at the end of his career and lindsey was long gone, the best we have is Gary Cohen and Howie Rose....while they are pretty good they're not in the same stratosphere as vin....nobody is

I absolutely loved him in the movie For the Love of the Game ...I’m a Red Sox fan and I would love to see Vin Scully and Our Guy from Our broadcast station Steve Lyons team up one more time and call the World Series if the Dodges and Sox make it ..that would be so cool because they both did great in that movie.

We had The Gunner, Bob Prince. Then the Pirates fired him, and the team began its slow decline into what it is today...a glorified farm team for the teams whose owners understand that you have to spend money to win. But hey, PNC Park has many restaurants and other places where a family can drop $500 and as long as they keep doing that the current business model, trading good players for a never-ending stream of "prospects", will continue.

The best scene in any sport movie ever. Scully is magic and any former athlete will relate to this scene as I am sure they remember their last game just like this scene in the movie.

Without a doubt, the best three to five minutes I've ever heard from a radio broadcast was Vin calling a meaningless game from Vero Beach. The Dodgers had just signed Juan Marichal and in that three to five minutes Vin told the history of the rivalry between the Dodgers and Giants, going all the way back to New York, culminating with that awful day in Candlestick Park. At the end of that brief lesson, Vin ended with something like "If you live long enough, life will show you some pretty strange things". -mikenotpaula.

I have watched this part of the movie I bet a 1000 times it never gets old and is even exciting after all the times I have watched it, baseball was my first love other than my love for my parents and it is depicted perfectly here.

Vin My Man Vin..... Simply will never be another! Scully is the Goat of all Goats no one comes close that can tell the story of a baseball game better. Not to mention when he did a little Football and Golf he was every bit as Good! Hell I believe he can make rush hour traffic interesting! Folks and especially you Dodger Fans appreciate it that you was lucky enough to have him!

This was just a wonderful call. It's amazing how announcing for movies like this and even something like Major League truly add to the movie.

Girth Brooks I loved it 25 years as a Fireman then BAM stairwell gives way and major or back injury. Then BAM BAM career is over with just 3 words. “You have Cancer”. Stage IV when diagnosed. 4 months later, your officially medically retired. 😞 Best job in the world snatched away from you.

Great movie…. Don’t mind the chick flick moments cause even that tells something bout the sports players lives. Costner and outstanding cast really delivered!

Clear the mechanism ! Please clear the whole dialogue from this movie. The worst writing ever...including the cheesy Vin Scully lines. How could Vin be part of this crap ?
