Hi, thanks for sharing the info, as the myostatin suppressing effect of working out was kind of new to me! I think I am still having questions and will definitely research further. As far as I know, Myostatin levels are a part of a bigger complex system: it is probably inherently beneficial for potential muscle growth to naturally suppress myostatin level through frequent training, but there's also the fact that muscle tissue recovery is required for optimal muscle protein synthesis. And -at least for me- that makes the picture even complicated: hypertrophy is actually promoting recovery because of making way to better nutrient transportation to the muscle tissue, but actual recovery requires non-stress periods (meaning rest, basically) where the natural cycle of melatonin vs. cortisol is on the melatonin heavy part. So, I guess beyond the well known fact that one needs also proper sleep, the timing of workouts (especially if there are multiple ones during the day) during the wake time must probably be also well calculated. Since a while (like 9-10 months ago) I am experimenting with morning workouts (waking up at 5:10 am, 30 min micro workout at 5:45 am), cardio at 6:45am in the morning (cycling to work), cardio at 6:00pm (cycling back home, uphill), and bigger workouts throughout the weekend. Seems to be working as a good muscle retention/fat burning method despite I am sitting 8+ hours in the office in front of the computer. And I am 40 yo.

I relate too. I used to be a Marijuana farmer back when shit was illegal globally, and working in the hills when the police would swoop in weekly and shit. Had to be running for miles to make it safely, and where the farm was, we had to rope up from a ledge onto the plateau with our sacks tied to our waist. Was alot of work no lie. Living off the land and camping out for weeks in those mountains to make sure rival farmers didn't take your shit when it's time to reap. But no risk no reward. The "legal" reward was, a lean mean fit machine of a bod.
