Ilfrod Delta 3200 is actually just a 1000 speed film that has been designed for pushing. Same goes for TMax p3200 where the pushing is in the name. That’s an 800 ASA film. Although both are really fucking flexible and can have slightly higher speed depending on the chemicals used.

I came here from a google search looking for results/opinions on pushing this film (albeit, I'm only looking at 1 stop). But shit, your sassy, sarcastic demeanour in this video drew me in and I subscribed straight away! Kudos!

Ilford 3200 us a film with a real sensitivity around 1000, which is really high for a analog film! Pushing it to 12800 seems to be really cool, but means underexpose the film of 3.3 stops. Of course, the medium-hight light can be pushed with developer, but i dont understand the meaning in doing this. The feeling that i have is that people do that to have a virtual more sensitive film (to shoot with less time). This is meaningfull. Try, if you want, @1000 with -50% develop std time, will be amazing.

Last week, I took some photos with my 645N in a public library where they were hosting an art exhibit. Yeah, my shutter clapping at each shot shocked the photographers and librarians there. I’m proud of the clap. Aside from that, 3200 is my favorite for night and day photography, especially daytime because I love the deep shadows that are captured and conveyed with each shot.

Wauw, what a coincidence, I shot my first roll of Delta 3200! I loved the results myself so super cool to see how it turned out on your photos. Allthough they felt way more contrasty.

Delta 3200 is not a night time film but it's perfect for fast stuff at daylight or with a flash at close ditances with a 1.8 lens it's the best film for skatboarding or any sport stuff.

That grain looks f(bleep)cking beautiful.

seems like kids are right ) delta3200 is a 1000-1200 ISO film. the high sensitivity films it's more like shady marketing area than real deal. the best option i knew to get good exposures at 3200 ISO was Neopan-1600 pushed 1 stop (it's real sensitivity is actually higher than box speed - somewhere around 1800-2000 ISO)

Did you push the film 2 stops in development or 4 stops? It is a 1000 ASA film which is just supposed to be easily pushable to 3200 (hence the not even slightly confusing name). Meaning that if you push it 2 stops, you land at around 3200. If you shoot it then at 12800, you underexpose it 2 stops. F*** my brain is fried

I've recently been experimenting with this stand developed in Caffenol. My last roll was exposed at 1600 & I quite liked the grain. I'm also shooting 120 though. Not sure I'd like it so much is I was using 135. Anyone shooting black & white should really try developing themselves!

Sort of 4 and half stops - it’s rated 1000 iso despite the box speed. Histogram more like an ECG ;-) I found it terrible even at 3200. I just push hp5+ to 800 or 1600 if desperate - even 3200 on occasion and it’s no worse , sometimes better.

So I pushed 35mm tmax 3200 +2 stops and actually liked the grainy results quite a bit. I am a terrible photographer but that has never stopped anyone from doing an art gallery style instagram account so why not

We use this for theater stage photography for decades.

If ur too lazy to bring a tripod, try using the giant loop of string hooked to the bottom of your camera and spread out with your feet to anchor it. (don't know what it's called coz I'm not enuf of a nerd).

I'm normally shooting with 35mm Ilford HP5+/Pan 400 pushed up to 3200 and developed by myself with rodinal r09 developer and the shots are pretty amazing tho

I own a Hasselblad 500 c/m and it had this very nice feature where you can flip up the pieces of glass before taking the shot to help eliminate that extra shake. Does the Pentax 67 have something like that?

or use a tlr to avoid most of the shake when taking the exposure

Delta 3200 is my 'party' film. I throw it in a point-and-shoot when I go out with friends and just...let it do its thing while they do stupid shit.

Whoever told you it's 12,500 and not 12,800 is just plain incorrect. It's definitely 12,800. It's a log_2 system, so you'll want to multiply by 2 every stop, simple as that.

Anyone know how fast that lens is? The fastest 6x7 lens is f2.8, so I'd be interested to know if you could get better results with a f1.4 35mm rangefinder at iso3200. The mirror s l a p can't help with slow shutter speeds either.
