@raec5426 Not that I remember. You might be right. At the very least he had no reason to think there was anyone else around at the moment. I also think that Yuji had tunnel vision. No logic, no reason, Mahito was the only focus.

@@CurseMahito you're right I went back and re-read to make sure. I just hadn't corrected myself yet. Yeah him not knowing what he looked like, and just the state of mind he was in at the end of the fight, I think both give Yuji a bit of a pass. Yuji wasn't in a place of logic or reason. Can't apply logic and reason where non exists. Also, it's not as though Geto just so happened to show up at the right time. He had been watching. Even if Yuji did immediately go for the killing blow, it wouldn't have mattered. Geto was going to step in regardless.

Honestly, if Yuji had gone for the kill, Geto would have appeared earlier and "saved" Mahito. I don't think what Yuji did in the end would have mattered much.

Also, Having stolen the body and technique of Geto, I'm pretty sure I know what he's about to do to a beaten Mahito XD The question is: what happened to Meimei? Was she beaten or just paid to look elsewhere? XD

It may look like yuji was playing with mahito instead of finishing him off but in the manga the scene played a little bit differently, mahito just started crawling away and yuji started chasing him but before he caught up getou was already there in front of mahito.

So the thing about the time lag hit, they didn’t mention what was the cause of that in the anime for whatever reason but they did mention it in the manga. The cause of the time lag was Yuji’s Divergent Fist where if Yuji punches someone, it’s like they’re hit TWICE instead of once. Yuji’s Divergent Fist was created out of his bad habits and he couldn’t use it at will. By bad habits, I assume they’re talking about when he couldn’t properly control his cursed energy until Todo helped him before their fight with Hanami. Yuji eventually lost the ability to use Divergent Fist but after his fight with Choso, he somehow learned how to do it again but this time, can actually control it unlike before.

Todo's curse technique requires him to have his hands. Mahito does direct soul damage which no healing can recover. So yes, Todo's technique is permanently gone.

I’ve read the manga and am still not sure the situation of todo’s ability he hyped it up in the hanami fight about different rules of activation like not needed to clap and such but I feel like that was just big brain stuff so that he could throw even hanamis allies off if they ever fought which is exactly what happened here. There’s been theories sayings mahito killed apart of todos soul which is where his CT stems from but I just literally think it’s because he’s handless in which I hope so cause we might get a curse tool prosthetic that could bring boogie woogie back one can hope

For the part where you where confused about how Manitoba released some of his armor its that he lost his sharp things on his elbow from the earlier black flash and his plan was to put his armor to one side of his body, take the hit and then lob off itadoris head. But in this one moment itadori controlled the timing of divergent fist in which the timing threw mahito’s hit off.

The only way Mahito can get damaged properly is by attacking his soul. Todo doesn’t have anything that can do that. That’s why Mahito said that Yuji & Nobara are his natural enemies since they’re capable of damaging him. Yuji’s Divergent Fist & Sukuna is what allows him to damage Mahito. Nobara’s Resonance technique allows her to damage him too

Well Divergent Fist isn't what allows Yuji to hurt him. Just Sukuna's prescence. As explain in S1 since Yuji's body houses another soul Yuji has become aware of the shape of his own soul.

in the first season they only talked about how strong thodo was... in this one we showed why he is the goat. My respects to Todo with this he became one of my favorite characters I finally enjoyed seeing Mahito run like the bitch that she is, Itadori hunting him as if he were a simple rabbit, he's beautiful... Mahito, a great villain and like a good villain, he fell and ended up running begging for his life. This entire season has been beautiful... devastating but beautiful... the animation, music, story... the work of the seiyuus simply beautiful without fear I can say that it is the best of the year

I loved that scene at the end: it seemed very similar to Re:Zero. In fairness to Yuji, people never take revenge that quick.
