The cassette liner said put me in cold. No baseball coach has the authority to rotate players, only the manager.

This is correct. This guy should have won. Once you hear John sing the chorus you can not unhear the word cold. The problem lies with the internet.

LOL! yea, back 'N the day whenever my buddy would sing "18 and life" by Skid Row and he would get to the part where Sabastian sings ..."Just barely out of school, came from the edge of town fought like a switchblade so no-one could take'em down"...Instead of saying "edge of town", he would say "ed-dred town" LOL! So to this day occasionally if I'm with him, I'll pull up google map on my phone and ask him to roughly locate the "ed-dred town"! And also before he truly learned the lyrics in the chorus to Poison's "nothing but a good time"...He would go "Nuthin' but Nuthin' but a good time how could I resist" LOL!

😂 Up until recently I had been singing that one line from "Blinded by the light" all wrong... "Wrapped up like a douche, another runner in the night" 😖 It happens to the best of us 😄

MisterMoop Yeah that comes on the classic rock station here in VA often and I could never make out exactly what that line is Yours makes more sense than mine because all this time I actually thought it was "Rollin' like a douche at the bottom of the night" LOL!

Every lyric site has it as "put me in coach." I've ALWAYS thought it was put me in COLD. Put me in "coach?" Man, that is so much lamer than putting him in cold.

Wait, so "coach" is right? That's so weak. I am disappoint, Fogerty.

This is a long, overdue, PSA. Joe - As usual, you have your hand on the pulse of America. Now is it Public Service Message, or Public Service Announcement. A PSM just doesn’t sound right. Geez - how embarrassing.

Not only does "put me in cold" make more sense for multiple reasons, but when you listen to the song closely, you can clearly hear an L but not a CH. Maybe it's supposed to be "coach," but you will never convince me the word he pronounces isn't "cold," or something much closer to it. I won't necessarily say it was intentional, but you were robbed in that contest.
