Nick Forell, Thanks for your post. I had viewed countless reaction to Putri Ariani's AGT Golden Buzzer performance that had been buzzing around the world ever since. I agree with all the accolade you gave her - most important, you are only the second person who said Putri does not need Juilliard School, but your statement was stronger when you said "she's beyond that." Watching your reaction was also precious. You'll perhaps wonder who in heavens am I to print above. I love music, but no talent in this department, but perhaps just a good ear for beautiful notes. I attempted to hum once, but my husband heard me and ask me to stop. I was upset and I defended my assessment of myself "I am at least a monotone." His retort "Cosy, you are not a monotone, you are a no tone." But that did not ever stop me from listening and admiring incredible gift of singing voices such as that of Putri.

"keep it together, man." I say to myself as I wipe away floods of tears from my already-soaked t-shirt sleeves. Damn it. The opening seconds had me spewing my cynical views of shows like this. Views that I still believe. People, organizations, record labels... they invariably look after themselves and see pound (or in your case, dollar) signs when viewing/hearing talent. I make no bones about it; I hate shows like this. However, I would be a fool to hear Putri Ariani's voice - both singing and her words - and not be moved to... ... well, tears. Evidentally. Beautiful. Thank you, Nick. I would not have heard this if it weren't for you.

*By age 2 she was already singing & age 8 she won Indonesia's Got Talent but now at 17 she wants to win AGT.* (As of 3 days ago, another of her dreams came thru as the Indonesian Education Ministry granted her a full scholarship to go to Juilliard)

I think we need a reaction on how all the audiences jaw dropped and sort of "forget" to clap at the end of the performance.. We all just get carried away with her voice..
