My first flight was on AA, around the time this video came out. It was one of the most exciting times of my life. The iconic red and blue AA logo has always invoked a feeling of quality, care, and adventure in me. The chrome liveries were an icon of travel itself. AA grew to be my favorite airline seeing all the ways they were improving. I tear up a bit seeing these comments as people genuinely were hopeful and excited about the future of AA. The new planes, all the investment, the employees, there was a real sense of pride in working for and being loyal to the airline, even if back then we complained about traveling as much as we do today. It’s a true shame how this once amazing company has declined. After the merger, Doug Parker and his cronies completely destroyed AA. Even if it’s still the largest airline in the world, the pride, the prestige, the quality, the very spirit and soul of the airline is all gone. Even if it’s probably in vain, I still hope one day American will make an attempt to improve itself again and grow to be the icon it once was, but I don’t know if that’s possible.

american has been taking me on incredible vacations my whole life, and everytime i step aboard that 757-200 to st.thomas, seeing the captain, hearing the engines, it reminds me of why my passion is flying and that this is the airline i want to be a part of.

It's been several years since I've flown American, but I still have great memories of my last trip. American is a great airline with good vision and I believe that you all will come out of this bankruptcy on top.

thats not their original livery, but it has been with them for the longest time of any us carrier (and I think the world). I gotta say though, American wouldnt be American without its livery which really became a symbol.

please make the amenities in the business class flights to the caribbean worth the extra fare or mileage upgrades. right now the amenities are lacking. also, the seats are all too frequently broken and/or dirty and trash from the previous passengers has not been removed.

Were those actors or real AA workers? I fly mostly SWA and AA out of Chicago. Thinking on consolidating my flights on AA. But if US Airways takes over, I'll switch to United lol

Make sure you let the folks on the platinum customer service line; I cancelled a $5k itinerary last week mostly because the first CSR I spoke to was completely unhelpful and unintelligible.

I am very hopeful that you will not merge with US Air. They are so bad as an airline and you have always been so good.

Why do people want to change the livery? It's iconic... AA is not Delta to whom changes their livery every time the seasons change. Changing a livery will not make the airline better. I'm sure most of you are the ones who get mad at the UNITED livery changing.

If you want to be back on top then you need to pay more attention to your customers and particularly your premier fliers...our miles get less and less useful...I'm w the person who said go back to the way you were kn the90s!

I really hope they don't merge with us airways. They are a terrible airline. American is getting back on track and their new product looks great. If they merge there will be less competition, higher airfares, and the service will just get worse. They need to exit bankruptcy as an independent company.

American has little to gain from US. The reason US is making a profit in the first place is because it has lowered its debt by going through 2 bankruptcies in less than 5 years. They are the weakest link if AA manages to get their act together which by the look of their new product is safe to assume they will. Stay AMERICAN and exit CH11 a stand alone airline

Merging with US Air wont help AA. Cash and revenues along with profitable routes are the only thing that will make any difference. AA'rs have the worst attitudes in the airline business from my experience. AA flight attendants are nasty. Get a new job and a new life if you don't like what you do. AA has not seen good times since the late 90's, and then it was despite AA's dysfunction. AA needs to dissolve and save the trouble. Its a stinky airline.
