My gear chain wore out, and the nylon fork guides disapeared. The case had 270k miles, and looked real good other than the chain and nylon parts. I was lucky, I think. I haven't installed it yet, we'll see.

Actually it was the input shaft. When I put it back in, still acted as if it was in neutral. The shaft was broke, and you could only tell when you pulled the transmission. It dropped down sadly! So, I lost the cluster gear, a few bearings, and I put the original synchros back in. I just have a bit of grind in third. Although, it was worse at first, and I bled the slave again, it got better. So, maybe another bleed. It's so hardly noticeable, I haven't bothered yet.

Is there a gasket between the upper part of the case and lower?

No, I recall just using gasket sealer.

Almost a great video, but your camera wasn't actually showing anything you were talking about. really unfortunate.

I know, do they ever;? Seems like the part I need to see is always obscured. I really needed better cams and mounts. I was fixing my DJI gimbals back when they first came out. it was like brain surgery. The part I needed to see was always obscured on the YT vid. Hence, a studio typically has a camera man, but where do you get one for free.

@@homesculptor That's a fair point. This was still helpful though, I was pretty irritated when I wrote that comment. You wouldn't happen to remember what size that huge nut is that holds the flange that mounts to the driveshaft would you? Mine is somewhat rusted, and my largest impact socket (27 mm, little more than an inch) isn't big enough.
