I do want to make a ring bound journal. I love the idea of not having to sew in a signature. Lol This was very helpful.

Going back to video of yours from years ago to remind myself how to construct ring spine. Haven't done this b4 and a bit nervous !! Pages are also a bigger size than i usually do so that's a bit outside the box for me, too. Thank you for such wonderful explanations and techniques you clearly described.

The thing I like about a ring bound journal is you can add to it if you need to. Really frustrating when there is not enough room to fit in everything, or find things you’ve forgotten to include. I do use a trimmer, in fact I have several, don’t really like any of them but can’t cut straight. Everyone is different, that’s what makes us so interesting.😁Thanks for the great videos and constant inspiration.

I love ring bound Journals. Yours is gorgeous! I made a ring bound Christmas flip book/journal for my parents. That way I can send them a new page or two to add to it each Christmas 😊 I'm also making ring bound memory book/Journals for my granddaughters for the same reason, I can give them new pages to add as they grow through the years🥰

Ohhhh! The possibilities, I love the idea of making pages, then fitting them together. I can get so stuck on this page has to be like that because of this page is like that, the ring bound option can lend itself to more freedoms I think. Will defiantly be giving it a go. TYFS Tina.

Thank you for sharing!! Love your videos! Lost my mojo at the moment and "can't be bothered" with crafting! Trying to get inspired again! I make most of my journals ring-bound because, as you say, they are more versatile. I also sew round all of the main pages (usually digi kit pages folded in half to give extra weight). I find the crop-a-dile too fiddly for punching the holes so actually use a bog-standard 2-hole punch (which has a measuring lever so all the pages are punched in the same 2 places - most of my pages are approx. A5). It is also a pain having to dig out the punched paper bits every time! I only use the crop-a-dile for setting eyelets. I know what you mean about paper cutters. I am always buying blades for mine! XX

You inspired me to use my scissors more. They are always at hand and I am getting better at cutting straight. Using big scissors helps with that I find. I like your colors and style. Have a nice day Tina

At least you don’t say “like”. I am enjoying this idea, I hadn’t thought of it, I already have some rings left from my teaching days and making revision cards with my pupils. I can’t wait to start, I even have some large maps from a Reader’s Digest Atlas. Thank you so much for your great videos. Today though I’m finishing some flying geese for a patchwork quilt.

Thanks Tina! First tutorial I’ve seen on ring bound journals. It’s very pretty , I’m hoping to see the cover when you finish. I recently discovered there are Reinkers for vintage photo distress ink. I’m not sure if you can get them there or not, they are very nice because you can control the amount of ink you add back to the pad, also it’s more cost effective than buying a new pad. They call them book rings. They’re great for revision cards too.
