Loving God more than anything in this world.. we will have pain if we sin, cause this will hurt our relationship and connection to God, so we cry before God, we suffer and God cleanses us..

Well first I would say talk to your spiritual Father how. Secondly I would say, over the course of time when you approach God with sincerity He will naturally soften your heart and approach true repentance. I can say for me in the beginning maybe it was “fake” repentance but God sees your willingness to have true repentance and true Faith, giving it to you over the course of time. Same thing when you ask for your humility, humility is simply not having your head down low and talking softly, but God will give you life events that will definitely leave you to no other choice but to be sincerely humble. Father Peter Heers has talked about this, Jay Dyer too, most of this should be talked with your spiritual Father though.

This was a small quote from a larger book which we encourage you to read. The book does not say that we can put sin to death through our own effort without the help of Christ. But, we will not make any progress in overcoming sin without effort and struggle. This struggle is not out of self-righteousness but out of obedience! When the Lord said to “repent” He called man to struggle against sin, to take up his own cross and endure to the end, but not without prayer and a reliance on strength and help that comes only from God.

@@Road2Heaven123 Sin is put to death by the pain of who? You? Is your pain what put sin to death? Are you the author and finisher of your faith? This is typical of Catholic doctrine. What scripture says of Jesus, the traditions of the church say about man.

Well I think it’s because they were tortured and perhaps felt pain in the heart from the emotional pain caused by the physical. Think of Matthew 27:46, when Christ is crucified and speaks on behalf of humanity and our emotional pain and distress feeling forsaken.
