This build has been sitting long enough, it is time for it to get finished. Actually, it hasn't been sitting at all, I just put off the finishing touches until it was time to put it up for sale. We need to fix some dash emojis and make a few of our options work again.

@@vehcorhey Scott… if you wouldn’t mind… at the 20:00 mark you spoke about the TSB and RTV around the knock sensors. You said it’s like a little dam and that you let it set up before installing the intake. Are you meaning completely setup? If so, how thick/tall was that bead of RTV? What determined the diameter of the bead? Obviously I’m asking cause I threw a code. Thanks man

Because I'm an Internet master mechanic and vehicle restorer, I admit to clutching my pearls through the whole repair, tsk tsking at times...then a sigh of relief, and some quietly whisper words of encouragement and respect... "Holy shit that turned out nice!"😂 Great work man, really, as always! Hope it sells well for y'all.

Great tip. I had to get my ABS module done about 10 years ago. Don't remember the company, but yeah mailed the unit off and was back a few days later. At the time was a 100 bucks. I put foil around the top of the solenoids and drove it that way while waiting, no problems. Been great ever since.

I just wanted to say thank you for this video series. Been working on a 03 Sierra 2500HD since last summer. I didn't have the wisdom to start with something rust free 😅. Instead I started with a low milage used and abused Wisconsin "yard truck" that thankfully had a decent frame . Swapped the bed last summer and just picked up a rust free cab yesterday. Your videos were super informative. From how to get the dash apart to how to disassemble the cab panels. Really appreciate all the work, information and humor. Thank you!

I love this project!!! As a bodyman myself, you did this project exactly the way I would have, with only a few exceptions. While you had the cab off, I would have changed the knock sensors, oil pressure sender and rear main seal. As long as it has 75,000 miles or more, that is… That would have also been a good time to check for any other leaks, like the oil pan, valve covers, etc. with no cab and fenders, it’s a breeze. This is your most practical build!

Reminds me of my younger years. Had a 02 rcsb stepside black z71 5.3 . Loaded truck with dual power buckets. Man I miss that truck. Also had a 99 rcsb dark blue z71 with blue interior, that was the first rebuild I ever did at 16. We got the truck rearended and I put a bedside on it and straightened the frame. Put a plow on it and plowed a few years with it. Did a lot of things a 1/2 ton shouldn’t have 😂 oh to be young again
