How do you guys think the Tunic puzzles stack up to other memorable video game puzzles?

Considering I spent more time focusing on what colour my adorable little fox should be, I highly doubt I would have ever figured this out on my own. Thanks for the video!

Interestingly, the far shore website is actually a Rosetta stone that helped people to translate the written language Trunic to the spoken language Tuneic, and have since used that to translate the faeries, chests, turrets, and even the ost. For example, did you know that the jingle that plays when opening the mountain door translates to "share your wisdom"

You exploded my mind there. I really like how you explained WHY the answers were what they were. I want to understand the puzzles, but because there's no feedback for failed codes, I can never figure out what I'm doing wrong and need to fix. I did solve as much as I could before resorting to the KZfaq, and felt amazing when I did some of them. This game's a banger!

What a game, I gave up doing the true ending because I wasn't understanding nothing, I discovered that the numbers in the golden path were the pages but I didn't know what to do after it, now after watch this video I have nothing to think unless "what a perfect game", the golden path puzzle is amazing, one of the best game puzzles I have ever seen, great video!

Regarding the freezing bome thing, it's easier to use the staff & ice dart 2gether to shoot a frozen fireball at the squishy.

Excellent video man !! these puzzles are insane , but i am a little bit sad for the devs, 5 years of developpement and brainstorming and it was cracked in 3 days after the release... hope they didn't think it would last for years !!

13:00 not sure I understood it correctly but you can use ice dagger and the wand together to shoot out a freeze projectile

There's a few puzzles like tracing the lines on the walls that I could figure out but to begin with in the game I didn't even realize the D-Pad did anything until hours in. As I discovered different secrets I did get the joy of figuring it out though I did turn to guides quite a bit. I also played on reduced combat difficulty. I'm more interested in the puzzles, atmosphere, exploration, music, and story. I'm not the Dark Souls type and even on reduced difficulty the game can be challenging. I'm glad they included options like No Fail mode and other assistance to get past hard parts for those who want the option to play the game without banging their head against the wall or less experienced gamers. Overall I love this game but I probably would have missed a ton or possibly given up on it all together without youtube guides.

Great video! I got the page that shows the Star in the Water with the 60 seconds text and Startropics dawned on me (dipping a manual page it came with in water to see the secret code). I stood in the water for 60 seconds and went to that page. Nothing happened. I was bummed. Unbeknownst to me, I had the right answer, but just not the cover page yet that you showed in this video! I recommend looking directly at the path instead of the raw inputs for the door because you need to have a rhythm for it to accept the code

This game is madness, don't get my wrong, for dies with the brains and patience to understand all this must be a masterpiece, and I can see that, I celebrate so much work put in it, but for the average player is too much, way too much, and that I can't get the true ending if I can't do all this is a little harsh in mi opinion, but we'll, I don't complain, is a masterpiece that isn't fully for me, I enjoy it, but I feel left me out of a lot of things but voudent full understanded and have it to use a lot of help

Do you have to be standing still on the stairs for the mountain puzzle? I have been playing the game (with joycon drift that slowly makes my character walk upwards) and I’m positive I’ve been inputting the directions correctly, it’s my last page and I can’t seem to get the door open

How do u know that we have to input 2x when there’s horizontal line across the pattern?

After inputting the reversed golden path at the Glyph tower, does any sound play or do the glyphs then lock so they don't change when the D-pad is pressed? Or are we just supposed to know to input the huge string of directions and then read the glyphs to find the website URL?

im still thinking i entered the code correct but idk if its bugged on pc or i just keep screwing up,still ty for the video though

What none of these guides seem to say is where and what the clues are! I want to solve the puzzle on my own but the puzzles in this game are just so fucking cryptic and weird that I have no idea if something is a clue or not

If Zelda and Fez had a child, it would be named Tunic. The endgame shift towards almost clueless puzzle-solving takes a bit of the game style developed up to that point. Great game, though

How do I cross the golden road?

I was hoping there was a reward at the end of each puzzle that is related to the gameplay like powerful weapon or spell or even a shield.

These final puzzles are….obtusely difficult. I was sure the pages that you had on the golden path save file were the key to an up down left right path on that map of golden numbers correlating to page numbers and good lord I was way off. Ughhhhhh this was ridiculous

The code worked for the door using Xbox console. You need to type without pauses.

Way to devolve a beautiful game into a series of 100 arrow inputs

OMFG, I was sure that I need to look at manual pages for something in common without looking at page 22, but for life of me could figure out what that common thing is. Keep looking for any symbols, colors etc to the point I said fuck it, I'm not doing this. I'm too dumb to look for tiny ass hidden golden lines which needed to be zoom in to see them.

Yeahhh no. I got every page, other than the first and last and making it to the "ghost world" and Heir boss all on my own. The "holy cross" is super clever and I enjoyed figuring some of those dpad puzzles out on my own, but I would absolutely not have deciphered the path to the Mountain Door on my own, like even if somehow I made it far in deciphering, Page 4 would've annoyed me tremendously and Page 9 would've recked me, BUT THEN there's the notion of double inputs that I would've never got on my own. Where is that explained that the cross hatch on the linear inputs represent double inputs??? I managed to get to 5 out of 6 Hero Graves, to restore my stats, on my own before having to refer to the internet to find the 6th one. I was convinced the 6th Hero Grave was in the ruined Atoll, but it's completely blocked off by miasma. I jump online and see that nope, 6th isn't in the Atoll, it's in the East Forest. Umm ok? Every area to get to the East Forest is blocked by miasma? Nah just go to the teleport hub and dash on over to this UNSEEN teleporter to get to the 6th Hero Grave. To wrap up: I REALLY enjoyed this game. I'm HIGHLY impressed with all the mystery and hidden things in the game, the developers did a phenomenal job, BUT the super cryptic bits of the game...I'm impartial on.
