PVE Pneumatic Vacuum Elevator at an Undisclosed Location

*OK, so I did my research and it wont fall if you break a seal; it has safeties like any other elevator.
I finally got to ride one of these. This particular elevator is a PVE37 as the cylinder has a 37 inch diameter and the capacity is 450 lbs, which matches PVE’s website.

ever since I went with my mom to the bank drive through and saw the vacuum tubes that moved stuff between our car and the tellers behind the glass..this is how I want to travel.

By the way, there's three sizes this elevator can appear in. Here they are: The PVE 30 - the smallest of the three, can only fit one person. The PVE 37 - the more common size, can fit two people. This is the model shown in this video, as mentioned in the description. The PVE 52 - The biggest of the three, can fit three people or one wheelchair with one other passenger.

Research says this is the smallest elevator the world has to offer. Not quite sure if it's true because STL elevators filled an elevator recently that is INCREDIBLY tiny.

I've heard the biggest downfall is they are extremely loud. If anyone else is in the house they probably need ear plugs. They have tried putting the pumps outside but you better not have close neighbors. I would think a quieter motor would be easy to find.

“You’ve heard”, eh? So, have you actually used one of these? Do you actually know someone that needs ear plugs or are you just playing this up? Because the sound of the elevator is on in the video and it’s not loud. No one in the house is needing ear plugs either, so while I appreciate healthy skepticism and pragmatic critical thinking, your hearsay post seems pretty sketchy.

Im sure the glass could be replaced or the break could be patched somehow. It’s installed in pieces so I think they could do it.

It’s not that they’re not common. They’re usually in residential environments so they can’t be filmed.
