Worst date ever. I pick her up. We go out. We eat. Her baby's daddy shows up to drop off the kid. He joins us at her request. We're about to leave. He asks for a ride to his house. I agree because she also asked and she was pretty hot. We get to his house, she tells me to wait in the car, with her kid. They walk in. About 3 minutes later, a dude shows up and tries to rob me. I draw on him, lay him down, call the cops and wait. She comes outside screaming some random name. Walks around the corner and sees me with this guy on the ground. She runs back in the house. Cops pull up. She runs outside. Tells the cops I tried to rob him and that my car belongs to him. The cops draw on me. One of them recognizes me through my brother (who's also a cop). Calls my bro. My bro verifies me. The cop gives me my gun back. I tell them the story. All three of them get arrested. CPS takes the kid. To this day, I still marvel at her magnificent mammories on instagram.

Piston is better than DI because long stroke and short stroke are better innuendos than mid length.

I've got an MK116. He forgot a major selling point for the weapon: not having to clean the bolt as often as a DI gun. The bolt on a piston weapon comes out almost spotless after a trip to the range.

Had my PWS Mk114 Mod 1 for the last 6 years. Also have the Mk112 in .300 BLK. I've had zero issues. Only have to clean when necessary. No blow back into my face and runs like a dream with great accuracy out to 600m. Very grateful for the awesome product.

I'm a big fan of short stroke piston guns. My all-time favorite is the Vz.58. I would prefer a short-stroke AR as well, but honestly PWS does long-stroke so well, I decided to get an MK116 instead. So good. It's the only long-stroke gun I own.

So, what's more important? Having a .5 MOA rifle that gets dirty quicker, bolt carrier group can exceed 300 degrees cooking off all the lube, and getting utterly filthy and can jam quicker, and a face full of gas when suppressed? Or a loss of .5 MOA, adding an ounce or two, and keeping the important operating parts of the weapon cool, clean, and lubricated for sustained fire and very little gas to the face suppressed or not? Hmmmm....there's a reason the Spec Ops are using piston rifles now.

I've got the PWS MK214 AR10, shoots 5/8 inch at 100yds and is just badass! I love the piston gun. Damn thing just runs and runs! Never had a problem with it 5k rnds down the tube.

I have a 10.5" I run a SilencerCo on. I love PWS. No problems, runs flawlessly. Easy AF to clean. PWS deserves more attention!

Absolutely agree on the forward assist. I've also noticed that most guys who served in a combat MOS tend to use it , where as most civilian only recreational, or competative shooters do not.

I built an AR pistol with their mk111 upper. I had some problems with figuring out which buffer i should use with the maxim defense arm brace i was also running on this build. PWS's customer support was awesome. They acted like they had a personal interest in making sure my firearm ran right. As it turns out i was running a regular weight buffer and needed the H2 one.

Just bought the MK 111 Mod1 M-lock upper in 11.8” for my legal SBR. Brass deflector/no forward assist. It comes with a Radian Arms charging handle and an A2 FH (all gone-YHMT Suppressor mount now). It’s an 11.8” (30 cm) in .223 Wylde (non-military caliber) making it legal for export (company statement). AWESOME, Amazing, Wonderful shorty upper...The best I’ve owned. Best I’ve ever shot including the 416. Unbelievable reliability. Add-ons: PWS comp/suppressor mount, Magpul M-lok (1 o’clock) Scout light mount, Streamlight scout light with remote switch (12 o’clock:position), Leupold LCO, I bought this upper after having several other shorty uppers that had serious reliability issues. I am Completely Satisfied on that account. Running on gas setting 2 with M-193 ball and a Yankee Hill Phantom suppressor. Best thing I can say is NO GAS IN MY FACE! Very, very happy with this upper! The cost was $100 LESS than a comparable BCM 11.5” carbine upper without a BCG!

I have a PWS and love it (Mk1 Mod 1 with forward assist). I'm just commenting on reliability. The only time the gun has ever hiccuped is when I let my very young nephews shoot it. They are too small to provide a proper shoulder and the gun short cycled. Kind of like limp wristing a pistol. It wasn't a fluke. It happened several times while they were shooting but has never malfunctioed on an adult.

Also the forward assist is there for quiet reloading against SKINWALKERS. Daddy taught me that.

Worst date story? I was DD for a party and my buddy's girlfriend started hanging all over me. I ended up having to fend off my drunk and angry friend, his drunk and grabby girlfriend, and then drive them both home while they were busy breaking up.

I have a pws mk 1 and I have about 5,000 rounds through it and never had an issue. Granted it's only 5,000 but I shoot all types of ammo from wolf to Hornady match grade ammo

Just a heads up everyone,no flannel was harmed during the making of this video.

I've got an older 14.5 PWS upper with around 4k rounds through it and it works awesome, the only thing that I don't care for is the older rail profile and the muzzle break. Not getting rid of it anytime soon.

Wow, I just noticed the mag well has the same pattern as the sides of the magazine...! That's really cool, I almost want one just for that! Gotta love that kind of attention to detail from a manufacturer... The rest of the rifle ain't no slouch either, and I like the piston system; looks like it's a good design.

The first seven seconds of this video make me feel like I'm watching the trailer for some high budget, alien invasion, mutant horror movie. When he gasps in fear and puts that rifle in his shoulder, excellence is achieved.

Love the PicMod rail. All rails should be like this now. Love my Pws rifles. Some new cerakote colors would be cool.

The cut out on the side of the bolt carry works just fine for closing the bolt on a press check. Pretty sure that's why it's scalloped that way instead of rounded off.

I have two PWS rifles, a MK116 MOD 1 (16"), and a MK111 MOD 2-M (11"). I love both of them. I damaged the bolt spring on one of them (totally my fault), PWS customer service was stellar. They also checked their inventory and found some left over carbine gas length M-Lok rails for the older MOD 1 series rifles, so my MK116 is now M-Lok and I keep the original keymod rail as a spare. I don't recall as much as a single jam on either rifle, and they run very clean. I highly recommend PWS.

Glas to see PWS getting some love, excellent hardware and great people to deal with, I wanted a gun that they didn't technically sell so they put one together for me.

Love my PWS MK116 Mod2. The only issue I've had is fitting my suppressor on it, because the handguard is narrow and goes out 15in in the 16in barrel.

I got a PWS Mk107 5.56 when they first came out, its my favorite AR15. I have shot targets at 300yrds with its 7.5" barrel. Shocked me, well worth every penny. if I want a good DI AR id just get a PSA because DI are all the same otherwise.

This is why I love my Sig 516 Carbon. Its pretty much the same beast as the PWS!

I own both types, a DI and a piston AR. Personally, I prefer the piston system but as far as shooting goes there really isn’t that much of a difference between them. It really comes down to what you like and want as well as how and how often you clean your guns. Pistons are definitely easier to clean. I’ve never built either to be honest but from what I’ve been told, if you’re building from scratch (meaning no pre assembled upper), I’ve heard the pistons are a little more difficult. But I can’t contest tot hat point personally

I’d say it depends, my PWS rifle has been a very reliable and accurate addition, but I’ve had other model piston guns let me down in a big way and led me to stick to DI rifles for a long time.

My only experience with PWS is via a Brownell's BRN180S upper. Seems like a great gun aside from nitpicks on the charge handle and dust cover issues.

great video as always, but i believe during a product review like this where the viewer most likely has no hands experience with a product as different and innovative as PWS, that maybe disassembling the upper receiver and showing off the parts that actually make it different than any other upper receiver group would be beneficial to the viewer. I believe doing so would add to the quality of the content in the review.

I know this is ultra late for this video but I think it’s worth mentioning that you can run a regular DI bolt carrier group in PWS rifles/pistols in case you either wanted to or needed to in a pinch

So I did a thing, I purchased a long stroke piston system from black rifle arms, chamber in 7.62 slav, and its an 11.5 in barrel. My plan is engrave the mag well with "AR-74u Garand". Sorry for the atrocities I have commited

Whoa that's a lot of gas blowback action on your Airsoft gun.

Piston guns run amazingly cleanly. Take one out, shoot a few hundred rounds, come home, break it open - the insides look like you haven't fired it. One of the benefits of not crapping where you eat. They are worth it if you value your time. Wipe the parts, run a bore snake through the barrel, re-apply lube and you're done. That is, if you even bother. They are that clean. And you don't need one of those dohickies to scrape carbon off the bolt because there isn't any.

I love my 308 pws. mine came with a forward assist.

It was my girlfriend at the times’ bday and I was driving us out to meet with her friends that we were going to bar hop with and whatnot. I got us temporarily lost, she got impatient, and that started a rather unpleasant fight. Eventually we made it, but her bs lasted the span of the evening. Lesson here guys is make sure you’ve got a Garmin Foretrex wristband gps in your kit or just a reliable gps and don’t just rely on your macho sense of direction.

My own service Rifle in Swiss Military was Stgw 90 (SIG)! Long Piston System! Never, never Problems. I own PWS long Piston 308/ 7.62. Same System! Also never Problem and every Time clean and perfect. I like it.
