I swear this is the most complete analysis about Rashford I have ever heard, hats off bro, and even the small part about him and Bruno's all out high-risk football IMO is hurting the players who want to be tidy with the ball, e.g Greenwood, Van de Beek, Martial, @Pythagoras in Boots

Appreciate those comments Kenneth and that issue with 'tidy ball players' is an issue we have always had at Manchester United, dating back to the signing of Veron. I just don't think its in the United DNA to indulge these type of players, it is only the very rare breeds who can blend in and yet still be majestic in possession i.e. Bobby Charlton/Scholes. Mata got lost, as has VDB.

as for his decision making, with all the injuries, Martial, the Ronaldo conundrum, he's obviously been playing more as our no.9, I'm intrigued to ask, how you think his season has been, 2 yrs on under a developing coach, he should have had, do you think ETH has improved/developed the weakness you had said about Rashford since? Looking at his season, where else do you think he needs to improve on, to become that top level player?

Bruno reminds me of Vernon especially his passing could be better but our midfield is terribly inconsistent that hurts our attackers. Hopefully summer acquisition will strength the middle

It’s tough to say, he’s someone who isn’t very accurate in terms of possession and Dortmund rely on their wide players to be comfortable in possession as well as penetrative. I guess in theory he could be a Reus like element in that side.

I think he’s got that “IT” factor, and he’s almost felt like more of a star since Bruno came into the fold.. Like you said, his character is one of the best things about him but he has to improve over the next two seasons and then keep that consistency as well as find that workhorse attitude he had under Mou, to be among Giggs, Rooney, Scholes etc... All Manchester boys (even though Waz came from Everton), all world class but not THE best because team comes first but capable of a couple stat padded seasons in their career.

But he has to find the workhorse within him again because that was a huge part of his game because he’s got skill and athleticism in abundance, but I do think he becomes wasteful with the amount of freedom he currently gets. Although I definitely think he’s more of a star than the fore mentioned players I just don’t think he’s at the level he thinks he is to be playing football the way he does

@@george-aidenanatolio4168 Hi George, I get what you're saying about Rashford having that star man mentality unlike Giggs and Scholes but their talent levels were special. They looked world class potential from day 1 whereas Rashford has always given off a 'raw' vibe where he constantly looks like a work in progress. As for Rooney, the young version did things which were insane and again his general quality was higher IMO. I agree that for Rashford to match the quality of these guys, he needs to rediscover his humility and defensive work rate or he needs to become super clinical in front of goal and justify being given a free reign.

just don't forget mbappe play in ligue 1, rashford plays in premier, but I hope some coach make a good use of him, eager to see he grow has a world class player

Sure but that argument doesn’t hold water when you consider Mbappe achievements in World Cup and UCL. He’s a bona fide superstar even outside French league. Rashford has a high ceiling too, just needs to continue on this path of growth and not get burnt out by too much overplaying.

Watching this now I genuinely believe that Man United have up lifted this lads ego giving him a large contract and making him the star of the team when in reality he is just a squad player he just has too many errors in his game , if he was literally more humble in his game and tracked back more and focused more on the lesser parts of his game(ie his dribbling decision making defensive work) literally just shows how brain dead Manchester United are letting a very average player be a star of the team

Rashford has great potential,very underrated. But as you pointed out he is not smart at game making. And I do think him going to a team like barca or rma it would do him good. However um tired of those teams stealing every new talent.

@@PythagorasinBoots His current state isn't among the greatest, but he has lots of potential, however the billing he came with is unreasonable with hus current state. MUTD is really good at overpaying.

Never rated Rashford. Zero vision. Doesn't know when to release the ball. Doesnt really create a lot of chances for other strikers. Passing and link up play is horrible. Kid is Wolverhampton level at best. Only thing good is his shooting.

Different type of players. I think Raheem is more better in terms of close control dribbling, better short passer and retainer of the ball. Less likely to look cumbersome on a bad day but I think Marcus has more character and much more likelier to hurt a top side whereas Sterling more of a flat track bully. I think for both their respective sides they suit. I would say Marcus in theory has more potential just because his mindset could push him to want to be the best, but technically Sterling looks more refined atm.

@@momoreadekoya5694 Foden for me has the highest ceiling of them three. Sancho v Rashford, I think Sancho has more class but needs to be in a very specific set up to get the best out of him. Rashford as LWF > Sancho as a RW. Sancho in a free role, is a different animal.

Sancho > Foden > Sterling > Rashford In no fcking way Southgate should start Sterling Rashford instead of Sancho Foden on the wing. Period

@@PythagorasinBoots However, I will put Rashford as a direct subs for Foden around 58th minutes I pick Foden as starting XI becoz he is better with the ball, I want England to control the game, to have the possession. He is definitely a player who smart enough to link up play with Shaw/Kane/Mount/Grealish. Sterling give away possession way too easily and it will make us dumb/less creative by keep feeding him/rashford long ball by exploiting their pace. Once Rashford sub Foden off, If we are ahead, we can do low-block, let enemy swamp us and utilise Rashford's pace to counter attack (and surely opponent must be tired after 60min) which fully utilize Rash's strength to make diagonal run. His height over Foden also helped a lot in set pieces / corner.

@@PythagorasinBoots I am not a stat guy as it leaves a lot of thing out. But Sancho’s number is insane !!! Foden is a great talent no doubt England future best player but currently I rate Sancho>Foden as he played regularly and proved himself in a consistent basis

The point isn’t whether to make someone look special or not - it’s just there to state facts and analyse his game. Whether you rate or not after watching it is your own opinion and personally I don’t think you’re that unjustified for thinking that 👍

@@laza1212 😂 he definitely is one of our better players in the current set up and is being made to play through injury - just still a touch raw IMO and needs to iron out technical and decision making kinks. Lots of potential but he’s a difficult player to assess as to what his end game level will be. Too many variables.

Rashford is on the same level as Harvey Barnes? He has 29 G/A already this season. Only 1 behind mbappe

Of course not but in the domestic context, Rashford has only grabbed 9 goals and 6 assists, Barnes 9 goals and 4 assists. If United want to maintain a title charge, unless they can get in a top striker and another top wing forward down the right, then he would need to elevate that level to around 20 goals a season i.e. Mo Salah levels if United are going to be serious contenders. He's performed very well in the UCL this year, he needs that level of output domestically in terms of goals/assists per game.

Crapford, lots of crap always losing possession and missing chances like breathing air.....Needs multiple opps just to score one. Part of the reason Utd haven't won major trophies in a decade, he's been with the club 8 seasons.....He's gonna be with Utd till his last playing days and this is why Utd will never, ever win EPL and UCL again
