I'd keep a Xeno scanner on AXMC builds. You never know when you need to shoot a heart

ever since i joined the AX discord, im not looking at ED as just a space game anymore. this game has so much depth in how and why you build and fly certain ships. example? i got my corvette and fitted it with 3 BL 4 MC and was happy with it. didnt even realise i could do engineering on it. when i found out i could, it was actually the main reason i just gave up on the game as the grind for engineering mats was, and still is not, fun at all. however, i came back to the game about a month or two ago, set my brain to zero and started the grindineering run. thats when i found your channel and started looking into making an AX build. irony is: i got whacked by a thargoid when i was on one of my material runs to fit my corvette. pissed me off big time. joined the AXI discord, subbed to your channel, and ehm... yeah, the conda happened. just need to engineer the lasers and it should be fully engineered according to the build you posted. wich in term made me go broke lmao. thing is im kind of scared to join a spire group as i dont want to be a drain on any given group. im pretty sure it would only about 20-30 minutes to get into the rotation of how things work over there, but still... anyway, thank you for putting in the time and effort to break down the ship and think about its future uses. really getting to know things about ED i wasnt even aware of. o7 glory to mankind. (the emperor approves this herecy lmao WH40K meme)

Doesn't look at ED as just a space game anymore. Proceeds to write a wall of text explaining how it's just a space game 😂 Dude, learning from others, joining a community, is all part of the game. Also, don't be afraid to join a spire, go with ax multicannons and blast scouts all the way (a krait is perfect for this) while keeping an eye on the orthruses, when people open fire on them, join the shooting (bring a shutdown field neut and possibly have it on a hotkey)

@@fartex1hotas is very hard with faoff, you can practice around a station, there are videos explaining some exercises that you can do (faoff proficiency iirc). Adding some deadzone might help, or an external software to configure curves on the stick, but in all honest faoff is for mouse and keyboard, it's so much easier, it's not even comparable.

Rainmangames spent 20hrs. Testing about every build possible on the 1st .. And have to say the Python mk2 is going to be better than anything else we have so far .. Runs extremely cold , sco stabilization, lots of dps etc..

@@Astyrrean won't matter how squishy it is if you drop the shield and enough hull to get it up into 630-640 boost range. With boost engineered Power Distributor you cut a lot off the in-between-boost times, keeping in constant boost you can reverse-strafe-orbit any Goid out there... so far.

@@orderoftwelve I mean sure, you can (or, at least, I can … but maybe you can too!) do a hitless Hydra solo. So, technically, the lowest hp you need for that fight is 1hp. Or more practically something like 130hp of the hollow viper vs Hydra run I did a while back. That being said, squishy ships provide little margin for error, and aren’t really that beginner friendly. Watch the stream with Ghost Giraffe today and note who he gets blown up before managing a single Orthrus at a spire site …

@@Astyrrean Hollow--Viper-Hot-Orbit is a zero to one mistake. It's only for Elite pilots, and is a support role to take the aggro by staying hot, and letting the cold orbiters or newbies do dps staying under the 77-140 heat you want to maintain in hot-orbit, popping heat sinks on lightning for dps boost and heart breaking. The rest of the time you are just hot-orbiting and keeping the aggro.

The fighter version looks promising. I've got conda with azis like that, and to make it slightly more viable for interceptors I'd add xeno scanner, if power permits. That way, you absolutely delete scouts but can handle clops with ease.

So having worked with this ship for less than a day, the biggest problem it turns out is the power plant. They dropped the size by one which makes running a LE power plant much more difficult. It is possible to juggle the modules manually and the solution may simply be to run a smaller and less power hungry set of drives and sacrifice the speed for a colder running and more manageable ship. I will admit, as a bomber it has potential if you can manage the power. Between it's speed and firepower, I can almost solo all 8 vents and do nearly 1 million damage even with the resistance on the titan at it's highest point. I have yet to run 4 multicannons but I would not be surprised if you were able to crack 100k on the core for a damage cycle. The Krait will be a far more consistent ship in titan combat but the PM2 raises the ceiling on potential damage for more skilled pilots. Go fast, stay cold, don't linger, and you'll be fine. Go be dangerous, commanders.

Yeah, it will probably going to be my primary Spire runner w/ AGF normal Shards, Krait remains Titan bomber and ShardConda remains my faceroll planetary AXCZ build. Chief remains the interceptor duel build. Why tf have I 4 AX combat ships?! And a Titan miner and 2 AX rescues? I guess I got suckered into the Thargoid war lol.

I think one concern that I haven't heard voiced too often with regard to the Python MKII is its Class 6 Power Plant. It is possible it is not voiced because it is not an issue, even with the high number of hardpoints and utility slots to power The Python MK1 and the Krait MK2 both have a Class 7. I'm curious to see how well the new Python does with a cold build and whether that CL6 can power these builds with Rank 5 Low-Emissions and Thermal Spread. It's possible a build would require a lower level of LE/TS or Monstered or whatever to power everything. That underscores the ever present question about thermal capacity. Obviously, one would set priorities and even shut down unnecessary modules (like the FSD) in Titan space. Let's hope there is still enough juice to handle all the necessary stuff

I will personally use it selectively for AX, and specifically for TiranSpace combat, noting that I am probably less-than-generally concerned about the squishiness of the ship as a hull tank. In particular, 4 large AGF-resistant shards and, alternatively, 4 large AZIs make for excellent TitanSpace escorts. Two of these with shards can reliably gib clops, and that’s a huge asset to have. Also as a Sirius bomber, it is an improvement (albeit a smaller one) over the current TitanKiller - or rather, an explicit trade for a bit more damage at the cost of a significant reduction in tankiness. But let me try this first hand next week, and I will have some more concrete feelings.

Shit the Viper MKIV makes a more logical AX choice than this ship. I can get 3200 Hull and use two cooling beams and two Gauss/ PCs and do decently while having maneuverability. I don't even know if I'd use this ship for human combat, next to the FDL and Mamba. It looks like a Mamba reclone, internally but minus probably the straight-line speed. It needs an extra C5 at the very least. Otherwise this ship isn't' any good for a tank build because you usually want to have a second larger slot for the SCB. So that leaves only Prismatics. Unless going the bi-weave direction but with bi-weaves I usually like to learn towards a tougher hull to supplement with which you don't get much option for here.

My cutter can do 45% core damage to which was Oya titan state in solo but it has 2 afmu 64t cargo and 7 repair limpets controller. I won't swap it for Pmk2 even if it wouldn't require ARX for the unlocking

But we haven't yet gameplay where torpedoes are good. Maybe PP2.0 would have it. Anyway there's no reason for me to spend 16k Arx on early access

Thanks for the video, but I have 2 questions regarding the Chieftain as there is only the Chieftain warship. (because of the war slots). 1. You said that the Mamba is guaranteed to cover 8 holes, but the Chieftain ? 2. If you take the Chief assembly from the store you get 2030 hulls, I transferred these modules to the Krait Mk2 and I only got 1800 hulls.

1. I did get 8/8 vents in the "FDev Chieftain." It's not as easy as with the Mamba, but it's doable. 2. Are you using LW instead of MilGrade hull? The FDev Chief has Milgrade Armor

@@Astyrrean 2. Yes I made the same armor, oddly enough their speed was the same but maneuverability was better on the Chief. Krait had a better shield and a supply of weapon fire from his distributor. I'm not arguing that the Chief needs further improvement, but I don't think the build is that bad. However, they have now for some reason replaced the Shards with Gausses, which is worse for core bombardment and better for killing interceptors.

I what the mark 2 to have the seam compartments as a Mark 1 OG or more same powerplant as a Mark one that is size 7 and size 7 power distributor and 2 more size 6 compartments then 3 size 6 or put in 3 size 7 compartments and still have 3 size 6 compartments and 3 size 5 compartments and 3 size 3 compartments and one size 2 and 3 size 2 compartments So you have more room to put in stuff or hull reinforcements and fuel tank and fuel scoop The mark 2 dose not have any room

Sirius AXMRs do more damage overall, and more damage per dive. The advantage of shards is in their armor piercing being higher, and them being better at hitting moving targets. But thermal core has shards, even more so with the -20% damage of the engineering applied. As for modshards, those are pre-engineered so you cannot apply the anti-AGF effect to them, and thus cannot use them in TitanSpace.

He talked about this in a different video, those weapons are limited by ammo capacity. Per run damage goes up but per dive damage goes down significantly.

Right now it feels like it is being repositioned as less of a game and more of a cash farm for Frontier.

in all fairness, if you look at their arx ships, as starters they are not that bad for new players, but if you really look into it, youre better of buying a ship and fitting it way better than fdev did so far. im not going to buy hone of the arx ships, as i dont have any arx, they refuse paypal, i refuse credit cards, so there is that :D on the RMT part, i dont like it either, but keep in mind that this game is almost 10 years old, was on the virge of really dying out, and i dont think there is a lot of cashflow going on in ED at the moment. im not going to start on the "games cost money" train, we all know that, but i think that their buisnessplan on making money with the current arx shop, i dont really see a lot of cash coming in. and it might be the main reason it took them 2 years to release new ships in the end. either way, i going to take the stance of lets wait and find out where this is heading. last note: as soon as i notice they are going to go the EA route ( wich they slightly are now) its going to be an uninstall and join the boycot list. EA is on it, blizzard/activision and ubi soft are on it. basicly: i dont care if they release the game of the year, century, im just not buying. *end rant ;D

A game with more than 10 years is already a obsolete game. ED is in a post lifespan state that this monetization does not care anymore, any new content that comes for it is a win-win for community that STILL play a ten years old game. Srr to say, but its the reality, i myself have 3000 hours + in this game, that aged well, but i not have anything to do anymore. Cmdr Hellysrazor out.
