Yeah... I'd say 335 kg natty deadlift is not "decent"... it's pretty damn obscene. So... if you think you will be a top level powerlifter, just pull 300 kg before juicing. Dudes pulling 200 kg think they will be the shit after juicing... well, think again. You will just ruin your health, break your wallet and possibly go to jail. If you want to be good looking for chicks, being in shape and looking athletic and healthy will do just fine. Sure, some chicks would prefer 250 lb shredded monster, but those chicks are few and far between. Pretty much every man can look good if he trains his ass off 4-5 times a week and eats clean. If juicing is deemed necessary, very low doses will do.

In germany it was like this: 10 years ago, people thought taking whey protein shakes is "roiding". Today, every 17 year old roids to be able to bench 100kg. When you naturally bench 140kg+, people automatically think you roid, because everybody in germany roids today and can't do that. I actually liked it 10 years ago better.

The most ridiculous example I've personally known was a guy on his third cycle who still couldn't bench bodyweight. Not a big guy either. Some people just want a shortcut. And those people often have a hugely inflated idea of how much gear helps, especially when they aren't doing the work in or out of the gym. End result is a bunch of incredibly unimpressive lifters believing that nobody could surpass them without chemical help.

I've had similar back issues that you've had and went to a PT for a while. He told me about bar hangs too and they felt great! He told me to do them on parallel bars or like on a leg raise machine thing by resting on my elbows, mainly doing it someway that I'm arms aren't above my head. He said that when you hang like from a pull-up bar, it will naturally cause your lats and back to tighten up and it won't allow lower back release as much. But that doesn't happen as much when your arms are down. I don't know the validity of this, I just listened to him. You have any thoughts on that?

Hey Pete just curious as I’ve cut weight a lot in being a pro in my sport (submission wrestling,BJJ which is for sure different no doubt) but when your lean I’ve cut day before way in 20 pounds of water. Nots saying it’s easy but when you are lean doesn’t stop you from cutting a lot. Surely it’s tougher on you but you can lose a lot if you know how to replenish. Using fluids and food and also a iv with a saline and minerals vitamins electrolyte etc protocol is great. Are you sure you can’t cut or in powerlifting does it effect your performance to much? In my sport it sure does but you weigh the positives and negatives of course. Really curious about high level powerlifting because my first reaction was this guy is wrong but it’s a different sport even if water cuts are the same. Anyone else a high level power lifter please let me know as it would be informative. Thanks Pete and to anyone else who can answer. Cheers y’all🙏

Try traveling abroad somewhere and experience a different culture if you have the opportunity. Puts some perspective on your life, even if you don’t feel like you would like it. Allan Bilodeau I kinda see what Pete means about that when looking at Clarence’s upper body. For a guy that doesn’t train arms he kinda has bodybuilder arms. As far as his training, he always goes stupid heavy and would be a freak even if enhanced.
