I'm the same with the "Five Year Plan". Whenever I made plans when I was younger, I would always feel down when I wasn't at the point where I wanted to be on a timeline. So much can change in just a year - you're right about that!

What are your recommendations for someone who is doing AP in a manufacturing environment for the first time? It is a very large, global manufacturing company with approximately 2,000 employees. Prior to the position, I was working in a tiny nursing home in a tiny town. I’ve been making a lot of mistakes with this job, and was even working on my own for awhile due to another employee leaving. It has been very overwhelming as many of the issues I’ve never dealt with before. There’s a lot of new things for me. It almost makes my head want to spin. The system is mediocre, at best, and I have felt like maybe I wasn’t ready for such a position at such a big company. However, the system has a lot of faults, which doesn’t help. I’m also having to train someone, and have never trained a person in my entire life, and I’m also not fully trained. I’m like you, I actually prefer to stay on the lower rung of the ladder, however, I would like to get a promotion and move up the ladder a couple of rungs. I have a bachelor’s degree, but unfortunately, I got it in 17 and I haven’t used most of it since school, and I don’t remember everything I learned.
