Hey Mike, We have had an array of combines. Our first one was a John Deere 55, then a gleaner, then a Case Ih 1450, and now we have a Case IH 2344 and the point is, we have been loyal to one tractor brand the whole time, John Deere, But combines need to have exactly what a farmer needs, doesn't matter the color, it just needs to get the job done right and for us header width was never a problem but at the time, Case IH just made a better combine. No Matter what your driving Mike, I think it fits you well. Keep up the great work!

Great, great Q&A video Mike! Lots of good information and from long experience gained insights, thanks for sharing. Really liked yr opinion on many things. What I also really do like is this Fendt Ideal you are currently running is running so smoothly, because it has the right technologies onboard and the manufacturer found a good mixture both hardware and software wise. What an area and crop it has been harvesting for you while you were doing the video. Fantastic piece of equipment. Like the sound as well and it is so quiet. Just happy it is all running so well. Enjoy the remainder of the harvest of those lentils. Thnx buddy👌😉

Mike I really enjoyed your answer or answers to acres/day. You actually sounded like a politician. 😂😂. As a farmer myself I can do the math I’m my head of what you would “average” on a good day. You are correct though there are several factors that do determine how much you can do. Have a great, safe rest of your harvest. We will be starting Monday or Tuesday. By the way we ran NHs for the past 7 years, running S780s this year, so yes change is good.

Hi mate, Agree💯% with everything you say... The Honey Bee's are the most reliable heads in my opinion, we also use Shelburne stripper heads. Next year we're changing our 9R's for the Versitile DT610's and our headers are changing from JD to CLASS lexicon 8900's. It's all about what works for you, not so much the colour or brands. Stay safe...

Hi Mike. I have a few thoughts on the overheating tractor. #1 is the fan mounted in the right direction? #2 On semi trucks there is a #4 hose that goes from the top radiator tank to somewhere on the cylinder head. With no engine running remove hose at rad tank and lower this hose below top tank. If no stream of water comes out that hose the hose or the fittings are plugged. #3 I think you said they replaced the water pump. To verify the impeller is not slipping on the shaft do this. That same #4 vent hose remove at radiator side, connect a low pressure gauge. Start engine run at 1000 RPM and you should have a about 10 to 15 LBS. If it reads 0 it's possible the impeller is loose or slipping. I dyno a Case engine from the Navy and the water temp went to 220 F. Check cooling system and found a red plastic cap inside the water pump inlet. Also came across people would remove rad from truck to work on engine and reassemble rad. The truck would leave and be back the next day for overheating. The problem was someone put a rag in the rad outlet to keep it from dripping and forgot about it. Dose it push water out of radiator overflow tube? If so, then there is compressing getting in the cooling system. Mike this is a long one but I want to assist you for this problem. My Son Nick says he has chatted with you on Facebook. Seeing seven Fendt combines in one field makes my heart pumping faster!!! God Bess Mike. Like your style of farming. /

Love the response to the tech question that ended up with you saying that you’d rather have fewer combines only bigger, not more and smaller. A farm roughly your size in eastern Colorado (30000ish acres), uses a dozen (class 6? I believe), Claas Lexion combines. That’s a lot more moving parts and a lot more maintenance, and more man power.
