There are. They are being trained as welcomers to live among the immigrants and refugees here! All of us believers are called to go -across the street. If we don't know our neighbors, have not had them in our homes, of they do NOT know why we are alive, to share the love of our Savior who saves, the glorious gospel, then we as missionaries, biblical followers of Christ, are failing our calling.

Galatians 6 does not apply here... and to top it all off I was simply making an observation about events that have already transpired. That said, Driscoll and others who put themselves out in the public to be celebrities likewise ought to be corrected publicly. When others are being led astray by someones actions or teachings they are to be rebuked in the presence of all per Galatians 2:11 and 1 Timothy 5:20 which says, -As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear."- Wonder why you didn't quote this verse. +alinlm72 This is all "sober and careful" I used to be an advocate of Driscoll until his action and words began to contradict God's word. Those not willing to warn others of false teachers like Hymenaeus or false teaching /wrong action from even an apostle, like Peter, do not truly love others and worse, do not truly love God. They love themselves and therefore avoid conflict for the sake of self presevation. Was Paul wrong for judging Hermongenes, and Phygellus, for judging Hymenaeus and Philetus, for judging Demas, for judging Alexander the Coppersmith, for judging Peter to his face in front of everyone? Was John the Baptist wrong for judging the Pharisees and calling them a brood of vipers? Was Jesus wrong for judging the same pharisees and calling them hypocrites and sons of the Devil?? Or is it possible that they were all judging them according to scripture and to warn others of the damnable nature of their doctrines?

Royce Van Blaricome You're right, the Bible very clearly teaches that Christians are to love one another. The Bible also says this in Philippians 1:9 : "And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in KNOWLEDGE and ALL DISCERNMENT." In other words, true love is tied to true judgment or discernment and true knowledge. One who does not discern cannot truly love. Do not forget that Paul rebuked Peter to his face in front of the entire church at Antioch and then told the church of Galatia about it while implicating Barnabas as well. He did this in love. John, whom you cited, also called out Diotrophes publicly, in his third epistle, for his error. Jesus called Peter 'Satan'; was this an unloving statement by Jesus? Doubtful! You should also read 1 and 2 Timothy, and note the several "christians" that Paul rebukes. You then use the phrase "2 brothers in Christ.." with respect to Rick Warren and Mark Driscoll. It seems to me that your problem is precisely in the area of discernment. To call Rick Warren a Christian is a testament either to your general naivete, ignorance of the scripture, or deceptive nature. There is unfortunately no other option. The Bible says, "Therefore by their fruits you will know them."(Matthew 7:20), and also, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world."(1John 4:1). Rick Warren has publicly, and on many occasions declared his love and admiration for the catholic church and both pope John Paul II and pope Francis, declaring,"If you love pope Francis, you'll love Jesus." If that's not enough for you, then our disagreement is of a deeper nature. The papacy was regarded by men like Spurgeon, Luther, Calvin, Wesley, Henry, Knox, Ravenhill, Tozer, etc. as the antichrist or at the very least, an antichrist. Rick Warren is friends with this false "church" that teaches a false "gospel" and is therefore a partaker in their evil deeds per 2John 9-11. Rick Warren has publicly declared his love for and brotherhood with Islam and several leaders within it, including Maher Hathout, the founder of MPAC. This is a religion that denies that Jesus is the Christ, which according to John is a liar and an antichrist (1John 2:22). Rick Warren's geopolitical agenda, his "purpose driven" movement, his ecumenical partnerships, his ever changing stance on gay marriage, etc. are all clear indications that the man is a false teacher, that is, NOT A CHRISTIAN. Or did you forget that even 'Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light?'(2Corinthians 11:14). Next, you accuse me of proclaiming "to be a god with the attribute of omniscience," because I accused Mark Driscoll of putting himself out to be a celebrity. You said that was not true. I just want to understand.. Are you claiming to be omniscient as well? How do you know I'm wrong? How do you know that that is not exactly what Mark Driscoll intended to do? Looks like you have some double standard to deconstruct my friend. Whether he was motivated by the desire for fame or not is inconsequential at this point. I'm stating that this is the case. He has in fact made himself into a celebrity and that is undeniable. His emperor-like hold on the Mars Hill throne is indicative of pretentious celebrities, which is a large part of why he was removed from his post. He actually refused to submit to a "plan of restoration" suggested by the elders because he disdains having to submit to someone other than himself. If that weren't bad enough, Mark is also friends with Brian Houston, the famous word of faith founder of Hillsong church who wrote the book, "You Need More Money", and stated, "..the Muslim and you.. we actually serve the same God." Mark is also supported by Perrry Noble, who was fired from his church last month for being a chronic abuser of alcohol. All of Mark Driscolls buddies are heretics or hypocrites. His endorsement of Brian Houston, Rick Warren, and Joel Osteen; that's right, Joel Osteen, make Mark a partaker in their evil according to 2John 9-11. In an interview with Brian Houston, Mark Driscoll apologized for ever speaking ill words about Joel Osteen, ironically one of the correct things he did, and said that he called to apologize to "pastor Joel." Perhaps you should read more, and resist the urge to respond viscerally. Facts don't care about your feelings.

Solomon... 2 John 10, 11 says in the Amplified "10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine [is disloyal to what Jesus taught], do not receive him [do not accept him, do not welcome or admit him] into [your] house or bid him Godspeed or give him any encouragement. 11 For he who wishes him success [who encourages him, wishing him Godspeed] is a partaker in his evil doings." -- Beware! The Pope is a devil and Rick Warren is friends with him, John Piper is in turn friends with Rick Warren. They now both share in the evil deeds of the Pope. John Piper is also friends with Louie Giglio who kissed the Pope on July 3, 2015 as well as Beth Moore who is wrong on ten kinds of levels. John Piper is sharing in all their evil deeds. Not many people talk about this very clear verse for some reason. John Piper calls it "secondary separation" - That's not what God calls it. He calls it "sharing in their evil deeds." What fellowship has light with darkness???

+Armor ofGod I would say, He's also friends with Louie Giglio who is on film kissing the Pope at the Vatican in July of last year, along with his wife Shelley. I would say John Piper stood alongside Beth Moore at Passion 2012 and led an audience in Lectio Divina contemplative prayer; condoned Jesus Culture at Passion 2013. I would say John Piper stood alongside false teachers Carl Lentz and Christine Caine of the Word of Faith Hillsong church at the Passion Conference last year. You make a great point; Rick Warren is certainly not Piper's only problem. You should read more.

Here's the verse again... 2 John 10,11 "If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; FOR HE WHO GREETS HIM SHARES IN HIS EVIL DEEDS." You're not arguing with me, partner. I'm not giving you my opinions. This is what the Word of God decrees. If you desire to scoff at that because you lean on worldly wisdom, truly the Lord is not instructing you. Let me give you the ESV footnote for that verse since I'm sure that's your go-to translation. (most reformed guys think they're very bright, and idolize their theology) The ESV footnote for vs. 11 states, "To support someone who is working against the true Christian message is to incur that person's guilt." According to the Bible and the ESV team this verse means that guilt by association is a reality. DEAL WITH IT. Aiding and Abetting is a criminal offense for a reason. Quit idolizing man and start holding all men under the scrutiny of the Word of God. You should read more as well.

@Servus Christi I agree! They think and really sincerely believe it is up to them to bring order into this chaotic world. Yet the basics of christian doctrine they cannot agree upon. They hide behind their tweets and youtube videos and refuse to answer the tough hard questions.
