You can put all the non-nomadic, non-subsistence-lifestyle-related items in there too, that predated these newer settlers, but then you wouldn't have a museum, would you? There would be no spray paint, nor the time to call yourself oppressed either.

I can't believe how good these videos are. Thank you SO much, Qupanuk! Could you please make a video about social structure in the ancient Greenlandic civilization (in the videos about mummies, you say that these mummies were probably of very rich people--- were there social classes? a monetary system?), and also explain where the kayaks would come from, in ancient times, when there was no tree on Greenland. Here read....The Greenlandic qajaq-or kayak, as it's known in English-is a vessel for hunting. That's what the name means. It's a boat made from skin, traditionally seal, stretched over a frame of whalebone or driftwood, although "boat" is considered disrespectful when applied to a qajaq.

Do you even know what happened to the native people of Tierra del Fuego? You should be thankful for good people like Hanse Egede who respected the native people. This man spoke Inuit language and established bases of Nuuk. The vandalism is showing of stupidity...

I remember vaguely that I read about tierra del fuego a number of years ago, and that the natives were eventually genocided by the organization of two j00ish brothers. Is that correct or do I remember it wrong?

Waarom zou je dingen moeten verwijderen het maakt deel uit van een historie. Gelukkig zijn er mensen die dingen breder in het perspectief kunnen bekijken. Tegenwoordig mag je niks meer zeggen of je wordt al snel in een hokje gestopt en dat vind ik een verkeerde richting. Belangrijk om te weten waarom dingen zijn zodat je er van kunt leren. Alleen de mensheid leert niet dat is helaas een constatering.

A territory so rich in resources with only 48.000 inhabitants, and they are asking for independence and being free of the colonizers in hope that never again they are going to be taken by a more powerful country. This is insane and reflects the infantilization of society. If this people had 300 years of peace out was due to the colonizers being strong enough to bring stability. On their own, such a territory with only 48.000 people would be taken easier than one could imagine.

Interesting as I just watched another one of Q’s Greenland videos where she gives thanks to Denmark for Greenland’s modern development. Here she has no appreciation for the history which has made Greenland what she is today. In every nation’s formation, from as far as the East is to the West, bloodshed and suffering occurred. But we can at least focus on what we learned and gained from history. I am sure this priest loved people, and if not, then why are so many Greenlanders Christian today?

@@levipierpont The oldest church in Christianity which was founded by the apostles is the Holy Orthodox Church. And only a few churches can claim descent from them through 'Apostlic Succession': The Roman Catholics, Anglican, Church of Sweden, Oriental Orthodox, Church of the East, Hussite, Moravian and Old Catholic . All the rest are not churches, they're organizations.
