I was at R40 on June 19th, 2015 in Toronto, with my son. Once I realized I'd never see them in concert again, I started to cry. Been with Rush from the start...and as a fellow Canadian, I'll never leave them behind.

Great guys, their songs, their meanings, their energy, their electricity is incomparable to any other band ever. They will forever always live in my head and my heart. They are simply the greatest band ever. I love you guys forever and always.....Namaste.

I kinda get the sense that they already knew about Neil's condition and they were very hesitant at first to talk about him. This was before he passed. I remember hearing that the Doctors gave Neil 18 months but he live 3 years. They had to have known something here. They always said interviews were difficult because they just wanted to blurt it out but in Neil's honor, they kept it under wraps. If that's the case, you have to admire these 2 even more for being such a great friend to Neil and abiding by his wishes. Love these guys with all my heart. There will never be another band like them ever again!

I missed the R40 tour, because I was sick. I hope it's not their last... My sons first concert was Rush, and I have been listening to them since high school (a long time ago)...

I was so glad I went to their Vancouver show. Best performance they put on ever. They gave it their all every show. They deserve a long break; it would be nice to see some EPs or studio tunes once in a while. I know Geddy and Alex like to write music.

+Shadownet have seen them some 20x....first concert i ever saw was Rush: 'a farewell to kings' maple leaf gardens, Dec'77, nosebleed grays. ...and yes that last vancouver concert was most memorable....despite loving alex's riffs, and geddy's fab bass playing, it's alway to neil that my eyes invariably wander to and remain fixated on...just love seeing him attacking those skins with the precision, speed and energy that he does....i'll miss them soooooo very much....but am nonetheless so very grateful for all the memories i have of them at different times in my life.

Read his book if you want to know what was actually going on. But he did get sick with a bad cough for 8 weeks when the tour ended. And he knew already knew the band was definitely over.

I kinda of had the feeling it was their last show. I was honored to be there at the Tulsa show. During the intermission when they showed old pictures of themselves it was kind of like a wrap up of their history. I think their done, sad. But I'm hoping that they will get bored and do at least one more. Hoping.

You know I get sad just by the thought I might not see Rush again . I don't mean to say this in a braggadocious way but I've seen Rush about 16 times starting from RTB tour and up and this last tour of thers's i just couldn't make it . I feel like they never gave me a fair chance to go and see them . They never came close to the city where I live , ( like they always did in the past ). I live I sth Florida and they have been coming here for decade's either in west palm beach amphitheater or at the Fort Lauderdale arena BB&T and the only city they came to in FL was Tampa city (which is 3 .1/2 hours away) and i just couldn't make that show . I feel like I've been robbed a fair chance to go and see them .

Not exactly. Neil wasn't sick yet. But as we know now from reading Ged's book, at this time both he and Alex knew that Neil had permanently retired. There was friction as Geddy wanted to continue but Neil had retired to be with his family.

Given that Neil was at his physical limit by R40’s end-something even Geddy himself has acknowledged, and was struggling to give his best performance every night even before that point, that’s honestly a truly horrible thing for you to say.
