I listened to this podcast episode today and It was so interesting. Gruesome and frightening but interesting. What a well spoken and honest account of a tough life. This guy should talk to troubled youth or at schools for young kids to try to show them the real side of how tough life can be. He has a bit of a gift for not dramatising his experience but just telling it how it is.

There has been several psychological studies done that have proven that when somebody is put in a position of power like a corrections officer they typically tend to turn towards abusing that power in fact the study had to be shut down because of just how badly they were abusing their power

Sad thing is, there are so many similarities in the mental health system in the UK. A family member had requested the gym and they to were ignored and only dealt with when they could be bothered. The issue is with staffing and does boil down to the governments neglect of the public services. Extremely worrying watching the UK falling apart at the seams. We should rehabilitate this young men who obviously have had a lack of role models and guidance not make them so hurt by society they will continue to offend. Fair play for talking out x

As somebody who’s experienced solitary confinement for an extended period of time I have to say this is what separates the sting minded folks from the weak minded . No disrespect however a person who is a man capable of being a leader or even a man of extreme wisdom you realize that being alone in a box is not a big deal at all , hell at this point in my life I tend to prefer it . Maybe this is due to being subjected to this as before I would have never agreed to that degree of isolation however I will never truly know for sure but it’s definitely connected. What I’m saying is be prepared mentally for whatever comes your way as far as prison , if your there you should be ok with the simple physical part of it fight and win or lose and get used to not eating proper on a regular basis unless you have a hustle or crew . And first and foremost if put in the hole or solitary either get as many books as possible and read in between exercises as you will have to parent yourself to burn calories unnecessarily but to reduce stress and become tired and stay fit and most important keep a schedule . Then stay in a position physically as you don’t look like a junkie or a nutter. Also doing this keeps you sane , most people let there own selves destroy themselves as they weren’t brought up in conditions that required to be mentally strong, so these guys that should be the best survivors have the best chances of failure. Remember that these guards C O’s whatever are the absolute scum of the earth for a reason and enjoy there lives because there complete scum . We as inmates when short times should take advantage of this fact and bring reality to these cowards as they will frequent bars pubs grocery stores convenience stores whatever but fact is there not smart and easily tracked . Let your imagination take part from there , when they start to realize that prisoners are not caged animals to never be released and they as guards have no special privileges on the streets maybe they will think twice about how they treat people . If not they can at least get lumped up along with there partners on a regular and have an actual reason to be such assholes .

In medical terms, it's called failure to thrive. When you're will to live has been broken. It's usually seen with long term spouses, when 1 passes, the other is shortly behind. Lack of love, purpose and hope is terribly sad. Failure to Thrive is a heartbreaking way to pass.

I was in Aylesbury after watching the last video, I can’t take this guy serious he is a liar. This dude is telling his story from a exaggerated victims point of view. I was in B2 -13 in 2007. Mate their is not a prison in England what has windows with no glass just bars not only would prisoners die from hyperthermia prisoners would be hanging themselfs .tHen he said in summer the cell had no windows and then said he use to throw his rubbish out side the window. He said the wings where separated by race , mate all the prisoners use to mix, they where more or less seperated up by what area you are from.
@mynameismyname6830
@mynameismyname6830 5 жыл бұрын
Dylan Morgan again he is telling his story from a warped view. He said on the other video that a wing was white and travellers and that b wing was the black wing. Then he said the wings were mixed and that the Muslims used to chill in the middle of the yard. This guy makes it up as he goes along. Again I was in Aylesbury for three years and went to a, b and e wing.

@@henrygarnett2879 I agree with Mr Mobbin. Do you think the prison service would risk being sued? In the winter, the prisoners would die from hypothermia due to windows without glass. Apart from violence from other inmates, prisons in Britain are like holiday camps. I'm surprised the number of people in the comment section believe this guy word for word.

He chats so much rubbish. That’s not how Aylesbury is like one bit 😂 the first lie he says is that he got 2 weeks losses off the PO now know as the custodial manager that’s a blatant lie because the maximum they could is 3 days losses anything else you have to be put in front of the governor. Second yes it is freezing but the only way he’d of been in a cell with broken windows is if he had broken them himself and then he’d of been put in a different cell after probably a day maybe 2 at the most. I’m questioning everything he says as blatant bullshit

Pal have you even ever been to a UK prison in the last 10 years? By the sounds of it he’s not been in prison in the past 10 years. Don’t always believe what you Read in a news paper especially from the mirror 😒 CM’s don’t even give out punishments anymore yes a SO can put you on a basic regime for 14 days but that’s completely different to getting losses off a CM. And why send me links to papers that are on about beating inmates up not once did I say this wasn’t true I’ve seen it before myself the UK prison system is on its arse and most prions are now like a jungle. And why go on about PSO’s and PSI’s for cans you show me the psi/psi that states CM’s cans give you losses? Because I think you will find outs they haven’t been able to do this for years. Owe and before I go no officer gets a PSO/PSI handbook I think you was supposed to say POA handbook see your another person who knows fuck all about uk prisons except from what you read in a newspaper or see on the tv go get a few years under your belt and come back to have your say 🙄

Well ultimately your inner anger and turmoil that makes you do something you shouldn't, like throw a milk bottle out the window is your own fault... kinda seems like this guy never really took any responsibility for his actions. Alot of criminals are the same. But that's why they end up there anyways... Maybe abide by the rules and you won't get fucked about? That goes for inside and outside prison.

Sorry Shaun, I could be wrong but I think this guy is exaggerating. The way he keeps pausing, as if he's making the whole thing up as he's going along. Bars without glass windows? Milk cartons to be thrown out of the window? Hmm I agree with fighting and sticking up for yourself which is commonplace in prison life, but some of the other stuff, I'm not so sure.

Gotta' love the inmate victim mentality. Chooses to misuses the *Emergency* button, gets disciplined for it and it's "the POs "setting him up". Chooses to throw his garbage out the window, gets disciplined for it, and it's "the POs setting him up". o.O Now I'm old enough and sufficiently erudite to know there are some people (minority) who are wrongly convicted, *but* to get a custodial sentence these days for other than persecution of political incorrectness or on an extremely serious crime, *other than in the USA* , in western five eyes countries like the UK, CA, NZ, and AU, offenders are by and large persistent offenders with a significant previous conviction history. By the time they receive their custodial reward, they have persistently and consistently demonstrated zero regard for social conformity or basic decency and regard for the impact of their behaviours upon their fellow man. Distributing and selling *illegal* drugs for years for profit eh Shaun? You and your ilk deserve special consideration why exactly? Because your mummy loves you? Now you're a smart guy, so you can probably figure out why most of society doesn't care what happens to people like you, and those much worse. Prison behaviours are pretty straightforward consequences which hardly come as a surprise given the nature of the beasts, if foreign and anathema to decent folk. What can you expect when this behaviourally self-annointed human refuse is restricted by necessary force to an enclosed environment together necessarily away from decent society where their behaviours can be contained so as to impact only upon one another? Ain't gonna alter those behaviours. Rehabilitation is a nonsense. Predators will see and exploit softness as weakness. Only fear and immediate repercussion by disproportionate overwhelming *force* or severe retribution 'rehabilitates' their kind of mentality. I'm guessing the fear of going back inside ever again has worked well enough on you...would I be right? Rule number one. Exercise free will and DON'T *choose* to engage in crime. If finding oneself inside, "Welcome to the Barbarian 'jungle'". Learn Rule number two. Don't call attention to yourself. Rule three. Vae victus. I agree that the prison system is flawed. I'd prefer penalisation on a system of Roman or French galley ships, a remote KZ or Bolshevik Gulag system or that of colonial French Giuana closed in 1947 where prisoners are kept away from society in a 'harsh' environment so busy at hard labour from dawn to dusk that other than the worst recalcitrants, the survivors have nothing left in the way of will or energy for troublemaking. Hell on earth? Yes. Suicide? Don't care. Plenty of proven worthy people on the planet to be bothered with those who have demonstrated they aren't. Doing decent society a favour. Persistent recalcitrant offenders? If they won't comply with being worked to death, 9mm Parabellum is a most effective containment.

You know a lot of people in the prison system are just on drug possession charges rather than distribution or violent crime why the fuck would you think a gulag system is proportionate

@@chindvids Maybe in some states of the USA, where you'll get taken to jail until bail (nominal) is arranged, but in the five eyes country ROW, you will be released on your own recognizance pretty much immediately after being charged and will definitely *NOT* get a custodial sentence on an *initial* personal use (amount) possession charge when you appear. Which is it, comprehension or just intelligence lacking? By the time someone receives a conviction and *custodial* sentence for personal use possession, they've definitively demonstrated A. repeated stupidity, B. irresponsibility, C. oxygen theft, D. recalcitrance E. that they are a high risk to re-offend or worse. Personally I think they deserve 9mm to the nape of the neck with body cremation and disposal at their/NOK's expense, but I''d be prepared to compromise and be lenient with a mandatory conviction without parole and five years on the galleys as demonstrative remorse and rehabilitation for a first conviction.

@@LlewenEbag Pretty sure its not me that needs to do any "growing up" when it's you who empathise and identify with convicted criminal sub--human refuse playing the *victim* card. The system is too soft today, intentionally. But that's another discourse entirely well beyond your 'ken. Inarguably much harsher deterrents are needed, preferably permanent to eliminate those exhibiting criminal behavioural traits from the gene pool. If threat of 5 years in a KZ wasn't to sufficient to deter, or serving it 'rehabilitate', a summarily dispensed 9mm pill would - instantly.
