You must not have watched my unboxing video. I do not like carbon fiber. I got this wheel only because it was gloss black. I’ve never considered a CF steering wheel “aggressive.” And if it’s not actually CF, what’s the point?

Well I took a wheel he had finished and in stock so I placed the order on a Friday and I think I had it the following Monday. Super fast.

You have to move it just a little bit on each side back and forth. If you get one side out too far the other side gets stuck

I didn’t have a heated wheel so makes no difference. Also, I can’t believe how many pansies are out there lol. You need a heated steering wheel, for real? I’m messin with you obviously, but seriously-I spent the first 30 years of my life in Minnesota with 6 months of winter and never knew anyone with a heated steering wheel. Now all of a sudden people can’t live without it. What happened! To answer your question tho-YES it’s worth it!

Shouldn’t, but a lot of people have steering wheels slightly off center after install so may want one to correct it

You may or may not. Due to the splines on the after market wheel may not allow you to properly line it straight. Will depend.

What about the horn? Everything transfers over to the new core. Easy swap.

You’ll have to check the connection for the audio. The new wheel wouldn’t affect that at all. The horn portion may be because the airbag assembly isn’t seated properly. Make sure all cords are clear and the pins are seated in the slots properly.

I jumped on a base model for a few reasons.

Speed Culture Studios okay thank you I’m in a hunt for a q50 but didn’t know which trim to get I like how your q50 is put together

jerzeyjay1000 Check out my video about Before Buying a Q50. I go into detail. But the basics are this: sport model has drive by wire and a weird adaptive suspension that can potentially have issues if you lower the car. I hate drive by wire and knew I was going to lower the car so wanted to avoid those issues. When I purchased, the base was $5k cheaper. I like the sport seats better but not $5k better. I installed paddle shifters for $200 and can do the big brakes for less than $1000. At that point I’d have a sport model minus the seats and I don’t have to worry about the crappy steering or the suspension issues-and SAVED $4k. Easy choice. I never use navigation and I couldn’t care less about the sound system. Base model was the best option.

You’ll have to make sure your wires are connected properly in the steering wheel or not being pinched. Contact is being made where it shouldn’t be

@@SpeedCultureStudios I took both the anti theft horn fuse and regular horn fuse out. Plugged the negative terminal battery in and when I turned on the car there was no check engine light, no air bag light. All controls worked but now obviously I don’t have a horn. Idk if the car thinks it’s being stolen so the horns are going off but I’ll try to take both negative and positive terminals off then redo the entire process.

@@miguelperello4613 sometimes people will not get the horn/airbag cover back in properly and it causes the connection to be made that would typically occur when the horn is pressed. So just be sure the wires are not pinched and that the airbag cover is seated properly and not actually stuck in a “pressed” position.

@@SpeedCultureStudios figured it out, the copper pieces were sticking out and I had to hammer it in. After that everything works and no check engine lights turned on 👌🏽

Did you watch the install? This is basically a factory wheel core. The airbag is just moved over to the new wheel. Nothing to effect the airbag.

I might change it, but not to a 17.
