@Agadmator, would you be able to do a short instructional video on some chess openings for those of us who do not share your vast knowledge? The way you explain lines is great, and would benefit a lot of us I think. #suggestion
@hughtube5154
@hughtube5154 5 жыл бұрын
Agadmator has already said openings are for grandmasters and that you should study the endgame first. So, #suggestion: 1) videos on the endgame 2) videos on the middle game, then the video you had to find was 3) videos on openings.
@CharlesHarrisonMusic
@CharlesHarrisonMusic 5 жыл бұрын
@@hughtube5154 Thanks for your counter suggestion! Although I do remember him saying something along those lines, I think that does in fact highlight how important openings are. For a lot of players, I think it is a lack of knowledge in these lines that can lose us the advantage. So I think an understanding of openings would help put us in a better position; thus giving us a better chance in the game.

There are so many GMs on youtube teaching you everything you need to know. As far as Antonio goes [Agadmator] you could start a list of 'chess tips' he gives during his videos. If you watch a 100 of them, you will have increased your knowledge immensely. And like Hugh Tube says: endgame first & Antonio has some great endgame tips in his videos.

@@UtzChips2009 Thanks for your reply! I am not disagreeing that endgame tips are really great, but I don't quite understand why openings should be glossed over at a lower level. I really enjoy Agadmator's videos, and I understand why he doesnt discuss openings during his analysis, but I enjoy the way he explains things so would love to get his explanation on openings in a separate context. Most importantly, he discusses why another move might not be so successful, not just showing you the best moves, which is really valuable!

Le Bumbcrack sane here. But I think that it is made a lot easier for us since we know that there is a winning move at this exact point in the game. So unless we work out the entire mating sequence, we cannot say we found A3. Since A3 loses an entire rook, there is no way anyone is playing that move unless he figures out the Qa7 move and realise that it’s a forced mate.

My takeaway from this is identifying configurations vulnerable to a tactic such as removing a defender from a vital piece for the opponents plan, or rather seeing when the opponents plan requires them to leave a piece undefended in this way that can lead to losing material.

@@thealgeriantank2587 do you know what an immortal game is? One that is so incredible it will be remembered for the ages.

@@miketalbert2770 I know but you are asking the impossible since there is no shining African chess player. Thus a "non immortal" game is the only way to go.

Great video Agad! I found RxA3 but I would never have found Qa7. I just could not see how white could survive after RxA3.
