I used to love music and could not pass a moment without listening to music. From my experience, I learn that even without any degeneracy associated with it, music distracts us from reality, from doing what matters in life, from remembering Allah. I used to memorize hundreds of lyrics but then I asked myself, "How many surahs of the Qur'an have I memorized?"

I quit music 2 years ago when Allah gave me a hard warning. Music really clouded your judgement. It distracts you from your real reason being in this dunya. I never felt this focus for my entire life except after quitting music. Alhamdulillah, Allah made it easy for me to quit and i never looked back since. May Allah grant us steadfastness. The thing is, if you leave something for the sake of Allah SWT, Allah will replace it with something better. And Allah replace music in my life with the Qur'an. And if you think about it, music has really nothing to offer compared to the Qur'an. I mean, Qur'an gives peace to your heart and mind, it heals your body and soul, it's a guidance to live your life, it increases your intelligence multiplefold, Allah rewards you when you read it, it elevates your rank before Allah, it's an unlimited well of wisdom, it's the only living miracle of the prophets that you can experience, it makes every houses that has someone reciting Qur'an inside it becomes brighter and more spacious, it invites the angels to enter your house, making it calmer and more peaceful, it will come to you in the day of judgement shading you from heat and it will come to you as a witness, adding to your scale, and many more. Not to mention, in the day of judgement, the people who memorized the Qur'an will be shrouded with a royal robe and given a crown on their heads, and they will be commanded to take their parents and lead them both to enter jannah. Subhanallah! May Allah make easy for us to learn and memorize the Qur'an. In short, there's so much more benefits from interacting with the Qur'an compared to music. For this dunya and for the afterlife. We know this life is temporary and we will come back to our creator someday. And we want to take as much good deeds as we can so Allah willing to give us His mercy. Thanks for the reaction. Keep going! ✊🏽 May Allah guide you in your journey.

I was addicted to music when young as we weren't very practicing, and know its powerful pull on emotions and the passions it ignites. When I faced a trial in life I gave music up for the sake of Allah, and He subhan wa tala replaced it with Quran recitation, and believe it I feel blessed for it gives life and peace to the heart where music only created yearnings that could never be satisfied. Everything I gave up for Allah's sake brought more and more peace and contentment in my life.. thats the blessing of true faith in God that only a Muslim can experience.

You spoke about role models before that video and I agree with you, I was born Muslim but unfortunately I wasn’t practicing, I was focusing on Music, metal music, used to have Iron Maiden Metallica Megadeth as my role models. Had a guitar, played for 6 years, did many covers and posted it online, time after time I felt that there is something in my life that isn’t right, Alhamdulillah I quit all of these recently this Ramadan, I still have my guitars but I don’t play them anymore, and I play Quran more often than music. I thought that I couldn’t quit music and how I can leave my favorite band Iron Maiden? Now it’s been 3 months I haven’t listened to them, tried to give them 1 listen thought maybe I’ll be back but after 1 minute of the song I stopped it, felt headache and felt that I don’t belong here Subhan Allah, it’s like my spirit was finally guided and now it refuses music. Thank you my Lord for choosing me and I make Dua’ that he choose you and guide you into Islam ❤️

Yes brother, im not the best muslim out there but unfortunately i listen to music a couple of hours everyday (sometimes even up to 10 hours), and yes ofcourse i dont deny that its really distracting and makes u lazy and forget about praying etc... Music isn't encouraged in Islaam for sure but there is difference of opinion amongst scholars whether its outright 'haraam' or not !!

Eve used to deliver a twin in every delivery ( a male and a female ), and it was allowed for the brother from one delivery to marry his sister from another delivery and this rule became not permissible in Sheeth’s rules . Eve delivered only Sheeth in her last delivery and not a twin .

Yes brother, music such as rap and hip-hop containing foul and obscene language is blasted over the airwaves for kids to listen to yet at the same time those same kids are told that they're too young to drink, drive, possess firearms etc.

Nowdays many Muslim youth ask, why we cant listen music, what wrong with it? We can control ourself then they start miss their prayer time, they start wear clothes like their favorite singer, they want more close to music by going to concert and night club and so on... They don't realize the devils was set them up, it is okay listen to music as long you know how to avoid those sins.

Yes, there is Hadith from Prophet Muhammad about music people will make lawful. Narrated Abu 'Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari: that he heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying, "From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, 'Return to us tomorrow.' Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection." Sahih Al-Bukhari 5590 Book 74, Hadith 16

As far as i know the invention of musical instrument at the time of prophet Sheath AS, is not mention in any authentic hadith. I believe it came from Jewish tradition (Israeliyat stories).

Prophet thT are not mentioned in the Quran, are mentioned in Hadith. Quran is consisted of the main prophets and their stories as they’re loaded with many lessons and examples that we need in our life time. While other prophets have that as well, but the moral of their stories can be repetitive yet useful

Dear brother, not all music is haram, the tambourine is okey for instance but not instruments that make tunes....but more importantly the words that poets and singers use...which usually are sexual and meloncholic and say things that are imaginary, fantasy which will take anyone astray from the real deal in this life!! Although i used to be a music fan, knew all the late 80s, 90s and 2000s songs by heart, while i have been a practising muslim, but with time i realised that it was a waste of time...heart became more tense and not happy as it would with the Quran astaghfir Allah no way for comparison...and slowly i found it was very silly listening to any song ... And understood the reason for tahrim. The music that attracts people to dance in clubs or parties attract a lot of jinn and shayatin that we cant see...if we saw what happens in music parties everyone would swear to never dance or go mad with music again. Alhamdulillah, no heart gathers a love for the Quran and the music at the same time .alhamdulillah

I don't think this story comes from islamic sources. I couldn't find this whole story in authentic islamic sites. The story of the two Adam's children who killed each other is in the Quran, but I don't know about the rest of the story, it maybe an israeli one, and Allah knows better
