Took me a minute to realize it was a simulation

It is much easier with a proper technique. First dont play with rudder pedals while you are on final, by doing that you are creating your own wind and turbulences, it is much easier to aim at the runway with the yoke when the plane doesn't move side to side because of the rudder. Second, before touchdown or upon touchdown ,use downwind rudder to decrab WITH aileron control in order to keep wings level. If you dont use ailerons into the wind, your upwind wing will rise just like in this video. Also, keep the control wheel into the wind after touchdown when the wind is strong. Thats how you will stay on the runway after touchdown.

The dangerous part of a challenging cross-wind landing is not the landing itself, it's the ground-roll, after the landing, where you run out of aerodynamic rudder authority as the airspeed reduces, and the weathercock effect causes the aircraft to turn into wind, and thus off the runway. If the brakes are independently operable, then one can use asymmetric (upwind) brake to force oppose this weathercocking tendency, however, I'd not recommend this, as if it goes wrong, they'll throw the book at you, because it's not an approved technique, and you'd only need it if already outside of the cross-wind limit for the aircraft.

The reason you went off the runway was because in real life if the wind was like this they would land on the right side of, the runway so they don’t get pushed off. So it doesn’t matter if you center or not. You don’t need to make a smooth landing. I hope I helped you out! oh, Yea! The reason why he was facing the other was that so he won’t get pushed so much. What’s with all the rudder input? In crosswind you only use the rudder if you are losing the centerline and need to realign yourself, where in most cases you only need to bank yourself more into or away from the wind and the wind will push you back to the centre line. This is the best example of pilot induced oscillation, and you managed to do it with the rudder, that in itself is impressive!

I am pretty sure a technique pilots do is make one of the rear landing gear touch the ground before the other (basically dipping the landong gear)

The biggest dead giveaway is the nose wheel... the rudder pedals dont turn the nose wheel, maybe in some light aircraft but these big jets have a seperate control in the form of a miniature wheel or lever that steers the front gear.

The nose gear has a centering cam that prevents the wheels from steering in flight just so you know, otherwise the wheels could jam in the wheel well when retracted.

First of all it’s called “crabbing into the wind” and second of all, you need to “decrab” over the runway using the rudders and lower the up wing into the wind, touchdown first on the upwind wheel and the downwind wheel then the nose while maintaining aileron control into the wind. You’re not landing a 747.
