Mei1105 I would like to think that kiss from another woman made him flashback to his relationship with Amy since they met. All the trials and error they went through. With that kiss, he will do what he has to do.

That is amazing insight into the character, it is fascinating view of his character.

I believe that you have a point. But Consider this: Sheldon character was raised by a mother who is very straight about believes and behavior on the eyes of society. Even that Sheldon don't believe on a god, he have lots of moments where he show to be very concerned about social behavior ( off course when this is not against his ego). H e even scout the girls on a dancing place, because of what himself called cotillion indocrination that his mother forced on him. On this cenarium you should considere that, even if on a cold andd aloof way, he HAVE a relationship with Amy and let other girl kissing him means that he make a MISTAKE, (he broke a contract)what means he Owns Amy a appology of some kind. Off course, may be a romatic exaggeration of the writers, but still following on his character persona.

If they didn't provide plot points such as giving the characters relationships and somehow change their characters over time the show would have ended a long time ago simply because it got boring. How many seasons could they have dragged out the story line of 4 geeky men-children who can't talk to women and just go to comicon every year without adding to their character development?

@@cherishgp Nah, it's loyalty. You can pin a lot of bad characteristics on Sheldon, but unfaithfulness is not one of them and it never will be. The idea of pursuing a romantic relationship with Ramona never even entered his mind. He was 100% oblivious to her advances and did zero things to pursue her that way. In Sheldon's mind, once he's romantically involved with someone, that's it. He never even considers anyone else. Before he met Amy, even his closest friends were under the assumption that 'he had no deal', as he has never shown romantic interest in anyone before meeting Amy and never after. He's not possessive of her at all. When it comes to fidelity, he's the perfect boyfriend. He's not tempted by anyone and doesn't regard any other woman with any romantic interest. Amy can rest easy in the knowledge that, no matter where she is or what she gets up to, Sheldon will remain faithful to her, even when being directly flirted with. It's the kind of fidelity we all wish we could aspire to, but almost none of us can.
