I admire your courage to be able to move out of your comfort zone and leave your dream job, the only job that you know and have been doing for the last decade. I have been on my job for the last 24 years. Last year I attempted to move out of that comfort zone and tried something different. After a month in the new position I decided to go back to my old job. I felt like im in a different world. Altough my old job was physically harder, Id prefer to do that than doing something that I was not comfortable with. Thankfully we are allowed to do that within the first 3 months. Going out of your comfort zone is a big challenge. And Im so happy that you are able to do that. Congratulations on your move. And goodluck on your new endeavors! You did well!

Such a lovely video!!! What hit me was the way you thanked god for the experience and the courage to call it quits. I lived in Dubai for 20 years. Everyday was beautiful. I suddenly decided to move to the U.K. because of my kids’ education but I can’t stop reminiscing and sometimes balling my eyes out of the life and place that once was. However, u taught me to be thankful. God bless you in your future endeavours. 🤗

Just discovered your channel, ten years is a good time for a change, I've seen some cabin crew who've worked for 20-30 years and all that flying is pretty hard on the body and family (e.g. fatigue and being away from home), not to mention all the sacrifices during COVID. If you can work your way up to CSD you must be doing something right and you'll have no problems with whatever you choose to embark on in your future. May God bless you and your husband in whatever you choose to do!

I haven’t been on one of your aeroplanes but have been to NZ plenty of times on Emirates to see my brothers. That food at about thirteen minutes looked wonderful. All the best from England, maybe you could be be chief training officer 9-5 or something.

I am Filipino-British and more advanced in years than you. I can understand you have goals in life but If I may say so, you are still very young, intelligent, with good communication skills and have so many years ahead to prepare for this ‘next chapter’ in life. The world was at your feet, literally and metaphorically speaking. In reality, We all know it is an uphill climb, saving and preparing for a future while in the Philippines. Without even knowing you, Watching you leave Qatar was not easy. I did say to myself, what a shame that you left a job you loved, where you obviously excelled and really, was just beginning to save for your future. You might agree that staying on a bit more could have opened new avenues for you to allow you the life you deserve in the future. But I’m sure that if life in the Philippines does not take you any closer to your goals, you can always return to Qatar. All the best to you.

We actually applied for a cabin crew position in the same year, 2013. I was able to reach the 2nd round of interviews in Dubai. 😊 Wishing you the best in your new endeavors.

Yes, I am a former Purser Flight Attendant and yes I use to do the briefing meetings to assign my team Flight Attendants members as well. Yes, I use to write reports, speak to the Captains and First Officers. So, yes, I use to the meal and drink request from the passengers in First Class all the time.😊

I'm a retired OFW too. Presently in the Philippines and yes there's no place like home! I used to work in hospitality industry too and now I am just a plain housewife living simple far from how my life before! No makeup no hectic schedules, etc! Parting with your dream job must be bittersweet. 😢 Just try not to cry because it's over, smile because it happened. For other people, your "dream job" would simply remain a dream and fantasy for them; as for you, you were able to fulfill it. And ultimately, for every end there is always a new beginning. Because I was rejected one time and didn't get the invitation for the second day, I'm confused.. I feel they mostly prefer candidates who are totally fresher or from hospitality background..

I said goodbye to Qatar Airlines in October, 2022, after the worst check in and boarding situations that I’ve ever encountered in over 50 years of flying. Congratulations for leaving an airline with extremely authoritarian management. Bad enough that it affects the moral of the flight crew. I’m sure that you will find something better to work at. Actually, ANYTHING would be better than being a flight attendant for Qatar airlines!
