Football being the most loved game in the world has garnered a lot of attention in the FIFA world cup as well but not for all the right reasons.
Qatar as a host has been under the lens of various allegations such as human right exploitation, corruption, forcing tourists to follow the law of the land, and poor conditions.
Amidst the storm of questions, the biggest question that emerged was how Qatar beat the USA in winning the hosting rights of the FIFA world cup since Qatar hardly has any recognition as a football-playing team.
What was the reason that Qatar wanted this so desperately, and how much are they profiting from this deal.
What are the long-term plans of Qatar with this deal? And the main question is how much truth can there be in the fact that there could have been corruption while making a selection of hosts.

Also, this video proves how liberal values are must of economic growth. Qatar copies Dubai but had to take a u turn on beer consumption under pressure of conservative people. These things made a very bad impression on its image. Sad part, there is a large mass in our country that now considers liberism as a curse. Actually when it comes to labour rights…. It isn’t about Qatar. Its about India/Pakistan/Sri Lanka / Nepal not able to give their labour class any jobs. So even after they know it may be tough, they come….. infact they get paid well in Qatar to keep their families surviving a family. So when we point at them for labour rights! We need to see our faults, and how our country has labour force staying in brick houses and metal sheet roofings and much worse unhygienic conditions then what Qatar provides.

Agree with 90% of what you’ve shared however, my family went to Qatar and watched 5 games and this is what they had to share: - no restrictions related to clothing for men or women whatsoever ; they wore shorts every day and everywhere - alcohol accessible in specific zones - yes probably increased pricing but that’s relative - safety and security at the highest level - atmosphere was very pleasing, fun filled, festival-like - tons of fans and followers from all around the World showing and sharing their love for the sport - stadiums and facilities were extremely clean and help was available at every 200-300metres Extremely saddened for the workers who lost their lives 😞 Thank you for bringing this information to the forefront in a very digestible, and neutral manner. And thank you for not sharing your personal biases or opinion whether to attend and not attend this event. Almost over though :) Respect ✊🏼

Even I am at Qatar.. I second what @Aby Fy said.. And even unlimited Metro and the buses rides are free for all the Hayya card holder (issued on the purchase of fifa ticket). There are Free screening of matches along with concerts at many fifa fan festival too. Seeing the international visitor there are many edm concerts being organised parallely too. Anyways I love Nitish Rajput's work !❤

@@shivam_nagar69 they used to take Passport from the workers to ensure that no one does crime cuz without passport u cant flee At that time in 2010 to 2018 qatar brought in too many workers to work for their country this was the only possible way keeping crimes to a bare minimum if your employer did something wrong they always have special numbers which u can call and complain dont speak half the facts

They have spent billions of money in their infrastructure but this is just not for the worldcup, it is overall infrastructure development of whole country..
