Just got my V20 a few days ago( upgraded from the V10, which is also a great phone ), it is everything i expected and more. I really like the look and feel, feels like a flagship phone should.

digging this long video. also it seems like the v20 is literally everything I want in a phone. amazing audio, removable battery, beastly specs, and convenience with that second screen. only thing it's missing is a Spen lmao

Loving my lg v20 what amazing phone. Have my OnePlus 3 and Nexus 6 as my back up phones. But the lg v20 is my daily driver.

it's nice to see at least LG going back to removable batteries. first the g5 and now this. props to them.

Awesome information I've not seen elsewhere! Thank you. I did just order one of these and now I know I made the right choice. Was looking at a Pixel 3 until I checked out the repairability scores.. something that was pointed out in a comment on this phone elsewhere. They said it was the easiest to repair phone they had ever worked on. The battery and the data card mean that this will not become obsolete.

I'm loving my LG V20 and doing videos on it. A great power user's phone. Loving the manual camera controls and dat Quad DAC. Good stuff Tim!

Great video man. LG v20 doesnt get the love it deserves sometimes. The screen is beautiful and wverything is super fast. As im reviewing this in October 2018 on my v20, the phone had been recently updated to 8.0 and will receive 9.0 soon. You can also get this phone used for around $150.

yup. checks out with all features. threw on nova launcher with my custom theme and widgets and I'm a happy camper. I love the battery life. the power button took some getting used to, coming from samsung

Iv watched tons of reviews for this phone and I have to say that this is the best one..iv just ordered one on the back of this review for a bargain of €300 as I think this phone will hold its own as we head in to 2018..great review keep up the good work.

I only bought the LG V20 because I owned an LG Stylo, and liked LG, but the charging port was so lousy, it wouldn't charge anymore. So I ended up removing the battery and used a wall charger. Then the cheap plastic cover discintegrated. I was hoping to buy a metal cover for about $5. Not only did no one make metal covers, but cell phones become obsolete so quickly, you have to buy a completely new phone. Turns out LG fixed all the problems the Stylo had, and put them into the V20 - push button metal cover, type C charging port, and added a lot more features - dual sim card, fingerprint security, quad stereo speakers, excellent camera. Even looks prettier. Feels more solid too. This phone is a dream!

I'm using the v20 as a second phone my daily phone is note 8 I use the v20 mostly as a music device it's incredible for music as long has you use headphones above 50ohm impedance my ear buds of choice is the sound magic e80 and head phone is sennhieser 650 cost of this phone in mint on eBay was 145$ I could not be happier this phone blows away my note 8 for audio and the camera is more useful for me personally using wide angle the 3 microphones as so nice when going to music shows or auto races this phone for the current price is so worth it i do recommend using nova launcher as well as the LG skin does seem a bit heavy

Good review. Wish you would point out some of those LG only features like the icon customization and keyboard. Not many people realise you can do that stock.

I have had the V20 for about 3 weeks now. I was very impressed with the Note 7 - but, we all know what happened there. My first choice prior to the v20 release was the S7 Edge, but after a couple of weeks, I decided to try the V20 instead when it launched. This LG phone is the perfect replacement for the Note 7 - it does everything as well or better and the UI has all of the customization features that you would have to find in Nova Launcher. I got rid of Nova, no need with this phone. I actually like this phone better than the Note 7, particularly the 2nd screen instead of the "Edge". After using only Samsung Notes (2-7) for years, I am blown away by this phone. Yeah, it's not waterproof, etc. but we never had waterproof phones for years - I don't get my phones wet. If not for the Samsung foul up, I would never have even tried an LG phone. Now, I may never buy a Samsung phone again. Still hard for me to believe. Tim - Great review as usual. BTW what is the name of the Table Tennis app in Google Play Store? thanks.

Its like a bigger G5 but with better build quality , the combined power on off button/scanner is a nice feature , makes it very easy to pull it out of your pocket , turn it on glance at the screen turn it off and back in the pocket . i have the G5 , but i dont think it is worth forking out for the v20 unless you needed to do yt videos or needed the dac or something , G5 is still a good daily , even with its flaws imo.

V20 just added to a pending class-action lawsuit against LG... I've only found a couple of complaints about the V20 boot-looping. I asked Verizon Wireless, they said buy insurance at $9 per month! Great!

The price is the prohibitive factor on this phone. Too many "mid range" phones out there with awesome specs that make the extra bells and whistles unnecessary, in my opinion.

I can't see how to fault this phone! everything you pick on is nitpicking! it has everything! like literally! might ditch my blackberry priv for this.

That second screen is killer. I like this phone alot, but Its hard to pass up a $10 Pixel on Verizon right now.

After the Note 7 fiasco, I couldn't wait for this phone to be released. On paper, it was everything that I wanted in a device. Sadly, I sent it back after just one day. This is the single biggest disappointment I have ever experienced in a phone. The screen is incredibly lackluster and dull. The camera severely disappoints, and the battery life was hardly sufficient. The only redeeming quality this phone had was the DAC. I guess Samsung has spoiled me, because their devices are superior in just about every aspect.. I'm fully aware of the potential dangers of an exploding battery, but I'll take my chances with Samsung before I ever purchase another LG.

I've owned one for over a week. Ask me anything about it.
