Lymphatic Tapping is an ancient Chinese practice that utilizes light
tapping to various lymphatic points throughout the body in order to
clear up blockages, reduce inflammation and allow the body to
comfortably filter itself again.
Before understanding the benefits of lymphatic tapping you must first
understand what the lymphatic system is…
The lymphatic system is more or less the body's sewerage system. In
short, it is a circulatory system that carries fluid and toxins through
the tissues of the body in order to be discarded. It moves fatty acids
through the digestive system and transports white blood cells from body
to bones. It also maintains fluid levels in our body tissues by removing
all fluids that leak out of our blood vessels. Overall, the lymphatic
system is there to filter the blood flowing through your body in order
to reduce toxins and keep your blood clean and healthy.
Now you may be asking, why would the lymphatic system need to be worked
on?
To answer that question, the lymphatic system, like any other filter,
becomes congested over time as it takes on the burden of holding more
and more toxins from the body. Our lymphatic system does not have its
own involuntary pump to release toxins, so without manual work to clear
them, they will inevitably become obstructed over time. Obstruction of
the lymphatic system can lead to swelling of the lymph nodes which can
result in obesity, chronic pain, digestion issues and increased stress.
So why tapping? How does tapping help achieve wellness?
Lymphatic tapping is a manual massage of the lymphatic ducts that
encourages the natural drainage of built up fluids and toxins. Since the
lymphatic system does not intuitively release toxins, it is crucial to
manually work on them in order to optimize overall health. Tapping is a
great way to encourage this natural drainage of toxins. Tapping is a
traditional Chinese medicine practice that helps to circulate oxygen
through the blood and helps generate new white blood cells; which in
turn helps drain the lymph nodes and reduce inflammation and toxin build
up throughout the body.
